It was obvious the Setsuka had become less attached, but it was almost as if Setsu and Cain switched places. Every time Setsu would begin to flirt around he would sulk, but as they watch longer it almost looks like she's punishing him. Not that they haven't seen that before anyway, "Setsu~"
Cain was whining at the beautiful woman, who was currently ignoring him, "Look at me~"
A glance is all he needed and he would apologize; he got it, "I'm sorry, believe me~"
She smiles, "Fine, but if you do it again," she glares at him, "I will cut you!"
His puppy face disappears and he stands, "Let's go."
She nods reluctantly, "Ushio-san, we'll be going now. It was a pleasure seeing you again!"
He waves, "Bye, Setsuka-chan, Cain-san!"
They leave and as soon as they're behind the safe doors of the dressing room, "Ha ha, that was brilliant! I hadn't realized how much I missed this role!"
Ren nods, "It was fun."
"We should do it again sometime, like around the time another role like B.J comes around or something."
He nods again, "Indeed."
Kyoko glances at him, "What's wrong?"
His eyes widen, "Nothing, why?"
"Don't spout that crap! It's written all over your face!" She walks up to him, "You said we were friends, so you can talk to me."
He stares into her worried eyes, "You don't want to listen to my problems."
She slams her hands on his shoulders and moves him into a chair, "I'll listen, even if I don't want to. You. Are. Worth. It."
Not even registering the subtle hint in her words he stares her down, "You're sure?"
In her head she screams in frustration, "Positive."
"Well, I'm in love with this girl," he looks directly into her eyes, "And she's way too dense to notice my hints."
Reminds me of somebody else I know, she thinks dryly, "Really? For how long?"
Ren mentally bangs his head against a wall, "Going on about seven years now."
Dammit, no chance. Kyoko sighs sadly, "Really, is that so? Well, why don't you try and telling her out right, I mean in a world like this it's fifty-fifty."
Ren catches the sadness in her eyes and hope blossoms in his chest, "But what if she hates me?"
"Then she didn't deserve your time in the first place."
He smiles in spite of himself, "And what if she accepts my feelings?"
"Jump on that chance faster than a lion on a gazelle."
The obviousness in her voice reminds him of how Bo gave him advice before and he nods, "Makes sense," he can't keep the next question from spilling from his lips, "And what if she's afraid?"
"Then show her the amazing guy I know you are and make her feel safe."
She smiles and Ren stares at that smile he had missed so much, thinking about telling her, but when he opens his mouth the door opens, "Kyoko-chan!"
She whips her head to the owner of the voice and pales in fear, "Y-yes, president?"
"Why that look of horror?"
