Part 15

Mia brought a new phone to call Laurent and tell him William threatened him but he didn't answer. She tried Larry too. She called every day three times a day for three day with the same result. No answer, no return call, text or email.
"Okay, he's upset. I'll give him some time." She thought.

Laurent

Mia disappear. I no hear from her for days. I call her everyday but it just ring and her voicemail full. I try her text and email she no reply. I no get chance for explain or apologize? This fucked up.
Finally Larry receives a text from Mai's assistant, that Mai will be in the same town as us next week and wants to see him. I'm excited for him, but I want to see Mia, tell her my side. That night after the show, we head back to us room and Mai opens the door for us.
"How did you get in us room?" I ask.
She flashes a picture of Larry holding her baby bump, then nearly yanks us arms off pulling us into the room, quickly locking the door behind us.
She hands me a letter then drags Larry to the couch. Larry kisses her and talks to her stomach. I smile at him but decide it's better to leave them alone.
Sitting on my bed, I read the note Mai handed me:

Laurent,

I don't know if matters but I'm sorry I didn't tell you about the changes for Fall Showcase. I know you are upset with me.
I need you to know the guy that abducted me was released and he has been stalking me. You also need to know he called you my boyfriend and he threatened to harm you because of it.
I wish you would talk to me but everyone is telling me it's selfish to try to force you to talk to me, it was my fault for not telling you about the changes and that lead to our misunderstanding. Again, I'm sorry.
Mia

She apologize? Does that mean she no mad at ne? Non, she mad or she would be here with her sister. She should be waiting here for me like Mai was for Larry.
I lean back on my bed and try to call her, still no answer. I crumple the letter, is all bull! She can apologize but she still no talk to me? I wipe my hand down my face and decide to take a shower to calm down, then turn off the lights and crawl into bed.

Larry

"How are my babies? You being good for mommy?" I kiss Mai's stomach as she smiles at me.
"You look stressed, come with me." She winks and grabs my hand leading me to my room. She turns on the shower then undresses me, smiling and kissing me while she washes me from head to toe. After drying me off she leads me to the bed and starts massaging my back. She works out every knot and soothes my sore muscles.
After a few rounds of good loving, Mai is sleeping soundly in my arms.

Mia (Miami, Florida)

Minutes after I check in to my new room the phone rings. Has to be Mai, no one else knows where I am.
"Hello?"
"I told you I would kill him." It was him, William.
"What are you talking about? You said you didn't care about Chris." I protest looking at Chris' puzzled face.
"Now pet, you know who I'm talking about. I know you've been trying to contact him and he you." William said. Chris walked away coming back with Matt.
"I haven't spoken to him since you let me know you missed me. Maybe if you weren't blocking his and my communication I could tell him it will never be and be done with it. Then maybe he wouldn't keep trying to reach me." Matt gestures for me to keep him on the phone. "Do you want to talk about it? We could meet me in person and you could look in my eyes and see for yourself?" Yes, give me the chance to jab my fingers in your eyes. I could tell my suggestion was not well received by the look on Matt's face.
"An attractive offer Pet, but I think I will just ask him myself." He hung up before the trace could be completed.
"Draykov is shadowing in New York? Tell him William is heading towards them." Matt looks uncomfortable.
"Speak." I bark.
"Mai slipped her security."
"Fine, I'm going to find Mai."
"Are you sure? What if that's what he wants? To make you careless so he can get to you."
"Mai is pregnant so I wasn't asking for an analysis or permission. I was notifying you of my intent." I grab my bags and walk out to the car.
As I open the trunk someone grabs my head and tries to bounce it off the trunk lid. I block it and try to free myself, but I'm pushed into the trunk instead. I look up at my attacker expecting William but it is Matt! I kick the lid of the trunk hard as he tries to close me in. It hits him in the face and he stumbles backwards before falling to the ground.
I know I can't overpower him if he gets up so I quickly get out the trunk, slam the lid closed and jump into the car. I drove the car to the airport and boarded the first plane heading to New York.
