Part 20

A/N: Because it's been a while, Larry and Laurent are in Dubai stay with a Sheihk, who happens to be Mia and Mai's godfather. Oh and Larry doesn't know that girl Zahra who Laurent is with is actually Mia.
Laurent has just asked the scariest question in the world to Mia by asking her to marry him. We're in the garden with Laurent and Mia.... Ready?

Mia

"Breathe Belle." He says softly and I realize that I am holding my breath and tears are running down my face. He kisses the ring and puts it on my finger then kisses her hand.
"Come here," he wipes my tears away. The little voice in my head is screaming at the top of her lungs but I can't hear anything she is trying to say. My heart feels like it's going to explored. "Laurent," I say in his chest but, "Lau!" Larry yells starling us.
I don't look at Larry but I know he is giving me the nastiest look. Got to love him for keeping an eye on his brother. I look down trying not to laugh at him.
"I told you to leave my brother alone! He has a girl already!" He separates me from his brother.
"Larry!" Lau raises his voice.

Larry

"Thirsty bih!" I huff.
Zahra lowers her head. Is she laughing at me? After glaring at Lau and him 'hearing' my thoughts.
"Good night, Belle." Laurent smiles as she nods then walks away.
"Toi idiot, elle appartient au Sheihk!"(You idiot, she belongs to the Sheihk!)
"Non, elle est à moi. (No, she belongs to me.) He pats my shoulder as he walks away with the biggest smile.
I don't get him. What is he doing? He all hung up on Mia one minute but he keeps chasing Zahra. I catch up to him and remind him we have to get up early. He kisses my forehead and struts into the villa going straight to his room and falling on his bed.
The next few days are a blur of Laurent, a lot of celebrities, more dancing and parties, lots of parties and dancing. It was hectic but I think we had a good time. New Year's day, started off okay. I was up and ready for some last minute shopping but Lau never came to get me.
"Lau?" I knock at his door. He is sitting on the side of his bed fully dressed. "Maman call." He hands me my phone then leaves.
"Mai?"
"No, us babies fine. Her say they have a wake for Mia, is tomorrow. Wear happy colors or white."

(Italy)

Laurent

"You wear that?" Larry asks as we land. Laurent looks at his outfit. I'm wearing a black shirt and jeans with Jordans.
"I wear this, why, I look good."
"Why you no wear white? It wake for Mia." Larry stares at me strange. I am tired of repeating myself, I just walk away.
"You call Change?" Larry asked.
"Our ride is waiting for us." I answer grabbing my bag.

Larry

"You see him?" I ask as my brother drops his bag and runs to grab a girl in gray suit and Fedora. He hug her tight then set her down. Mia? She was tanner with mid back straight hair. I pick up Lau's bag and walk over.

Mia

"Aww Larry, so sweet of you to dress in mourning for me. Come on, let's.." Larry silently hands his brother the bags he is carrying then squeezes the air out of me.
"Where were you?" He speaks into my hair.
"A little bit of everything."
"I glad you okii." He squeezes me tighter.
"I'm glad you are okay too, Larry." I wheeze. Larry puts me down as Laurent checks my hand before lacing his fingers through mine pulling me back into a hug.
Laurent twirls me to his right side placing his arm around my waist as we walk towards the car. "I know you want to see Mai so we will check on her after you drop your bags at the other place." I say looking at Larry.
I giggle as they both smile at me for different reasons.
We pass Matt on the way out to the car. The twins and Matt exchange greetings, but Matt continues into the airport.
"He's not with us?" Laurent asked.
"No. Get in." I unlock my new Range Rover, white on white, an engagement gift from my godfather, the Sheihk. It came filled with desert flowers and beautiful baby clothes for Mai.
I open the door of the coastal property, looking back only seeing Larry. "This is where you will be staying. There is large bedrooms with an en suite on opposite ends of the property." I continue talking to Larry because Laurent is being slow getting in here. "In the middle is a TV room with a wall of movies, games and game consoles, a living room, dining room, and kitchen. The keys to the house and the cars out front are in the kitchen by the refrigerator. The kitchen is fully stocked." I smile as Larry looks over the kitchen while Laurent brings Larry's bag in dropping it beside the door.
"The car has voice activated GPS, the default language is French. I programmed all the important places; my villa, movies, shopping, etc. So you shouldn't have any problems getting around. In the back of the house is where are the water sports stuff is stored. Oh and there is an athletics center about a mile away with a dance studio."
I turn to wait outside but Laurent dragged me to one of the bedrooms and sits me in a chair.
"Are you ever going to answer me?" Laurent asks kneeling in front of me. In my defense my heart has been actively trying to kill me since he asked me but now that he is close again it is finally calm.

Laurent

She looks at her hand then unbuttoned my shirt revealing the pendant she gave me for Christmas. She opens the pendant, kisses the contents and closes it. The locket contains a picture of her parents together on one side and us on the other. I start to give it back but she stops me.
"I gave you my heart. You don't want it now?" Mia slowly tilts her head as she stares into my eyes.
"Of course, does that mean you will marry me?"
"Yes." She whispers.
"When?" I can't help smiling at her.
"That's up to you." She stands up looking in my eyes, "But for now, we need to get your brother ready before Mai arrives." She grabs my hand pulling me from the room.
"Ready?" I ask Larry.
"Yeah, but if Mia alive why we here?"
"To see Mai of course!" Mia answers before I can say anything.

We pull up at villa and Mia jumps out the truck, opens the front door and runs inside. She returns quickly meeting us at the door with two garment bags. "Upstairs to the left. Hurry up!" She pushes us towards the stairs.
Mia followed us upstairs but turned right heading into a room and closing the door.
"What? Why I have to change? What is going on?" Larry ask me.
"A wedding. Now hurry up." I push a suit at him.
"Huh?"
"Mia prepare wedding-"
"You marry Mia?" Larry frowns cutting me off.
"Yeah, but not today." I grab his shoulders looking him in his eyes. "Today, you marry Mai." I smile at him.
"Really? Wait? You marry Mia? When you ask her?"
"In Dubai, in the garden of the Sheihk's palace." I answer changing clothes.
"When you with Zahra? She help you propose to Mia like my party?" Larry asks putting on his suit pants.
"Zahra is Mia."
"What?! Why she no say nothing?" He turn me to face him. "I was so mean to her." He says to himself.
"She was happy you try for to keep me from other girls." I pinch his cheek.
"Why you no say?" He huffs.
"I try but you no want to hear me, 'Zahra is the Sheihk's daughter, leave her alone!' Remember?" I repeat his words.
"You engaged last week and no tell me?"
"Non, you yell at me, send her away, then keep me away from her so she no can answer."
"I sorry bro. She still no answer you?"
"She say yes today." I pat his back.
"We have to do this again?" Larry whine.
"Yeah, sorry my brother." I smile.
"No!" He pulls out his phone but I grab it, "not until after you say I do."
An hour later Zoe is knocking on the door, "It's time, follow the flowers. Here." He presses rings into my hand. Larry walks away to have a private word with the Sheihk, who nods and disappears. Larry and I follow the flowers, to us Maman. She's in the front with my brothers and sisters right by the altar.

Mai

I arrive at Mia's villa and the Sheihk meets me at the door. He tries to hug me but the babies get the most of it. He smiles then grabs my hand and hugs me from the side.
"Come on we need to get you dressed." He helps me into the house.
"I am dressed, Abba."
"No I have a beautiful dress made for you, you will wear it." He insists. "Someone will help you when you get upstairs turn to the right."
I make my way to room across from Mia's old bedroom on the right and there are several girls in there.
"She's here." One girl announces. A few girls help me get changed into a white dress, redo my hair and removing my makeup.
"Uh what is going on?" I ask but they don't answer.
"Don't worry, we will make you look very nice. It's okay." The girl doing my nails smiles at me.
