Chapter 3

I was totally confused by what just happened. How could he do this to me after all of these years. I wasn't about to cry though , nope thats not me. Soon the bell had rung and my other friend Jasmine walked up.

"Hey girl why you look like someone stole your puppy ?" , she say.

"Well Drew just broke up with me and I don't even know why" , I say almost crying.

"Damn I'm sorry girl its going to be okay, Terrance is throwing a party tonight and we should slide through its going to be fun and it will help get your mind off of everything."

"I dont know Jas I just won't to be alone right now", I say as we started walking to the bus.

"Girl please stop it you have a lot of time to be alone when you die but right now you need to go home and find something cute to wear" , she says.

"Alright Jas I will go but im not staying that long"

"Mmmhm whatever be ready by 8:30 the party start at 9 and I don't want to stand in that long ass line. Im going to see if Ma Dukes going to let me use the car"

"Okay girl imma be ready", I say as I walk off the bus.

I throw up the number 1 and walk to my house. I was expecting to see Cortez on the bus. I know Solice got a ride from John, her ex-boyfriend,  so I wasn't worried about her. I put my key in the door and turned the lock. As soon as I opened the door the smell of that "lit" hit my face. The first thing that hit my mind was Cortez in here smoking. Mia going to put him in a body bag. I went up the stairs and knocked on his door.

"Cortez open up the damn door I know you here me knocking you got the whole house smelling like weed." He opened the door, his eyes were low and he had no shirt on. My eyes immediately went to his toned stomach. When I looked up he had a smirk on his face.

"Like what you see ?" , he asked.

"Uh no not at all , dont flatter yourself. What are you doing smoking weed in the house, Mia is going to kill both of us" , I say.

"Not if she don't know", he said grabbing the Air Freshener and spraying it. I started coughing and he just laughed at me , his eyes red as hell. "So I heard that Drew broke up with you , you going to learn to stop messing with little boys and get with a man" , he says lightly hitting his chest. A look of embarrassment washed over my face and then I suddenly got angry.

" Yea he broke up with me after I punched that trick Trina in the face. To be honest I think they messing around cause when me and her was arguing he didn't say anything." A look of shock was on his face then finally he said , "Girl you late they been messing around , they got caught in the locker room and coach benched him for the next 4 games."

"So if you knew why didn't you tell me ? Wait Drew said yall had practice this morning why didnt you go ?" , I say.

" I thought you knew actually and then I didn't want you to think I was trying to come between you guys relationship. By the way that nigga was lying we didn't have practice im the head captain I would of known about it."

"He probably was at that hoe Trina house and used that as an excuse. Anyways you going to Terrance party tonight ?"

"Ayyyyyeeee you know it imma have all the ladies twerking on me like whaa" , he says while he started to hit the dougie.

"Lmao you're stupid well Jas picking me up at 8:30 if you want to ride with us"

"Fosho well its 3 so that gives me time to chill and get ready before she gets here", he says as I make my way to my room to change out of these clothes. I threw on a pair of pajama shorts that had black hearts on them and a wife beater. I went downstairs to the family room and turned to Pretty Little Liars. That was my show and I really think Aria is A. I thought about Drew and I was hurt a little, but hey life goes on. Im going to get my party on and not care about him cause its obvious he dont give a damn about me.

Because of you I never stray to far from the sidewalk.  

Because of you I like to play on the safe side for I wont get hurt
