"He catches my eye." You thought to yourself
You were in Korea for summer break to visit your dad and you were skateboarding with some of your friends on the streets. Then there was this boy that passed by on his skateboard. He caught your eye. He looked super tall and he was wearing a beanie, a flannel and some black pants with black shoes. He looked about your age but maybe a little older. But one thing was for sure. He was a dream boy. You called the dream boys the ones who all the girls would be all over. Sorta like f*ck boys.
Mingyu pov
I was going to the shop today to have the interview and I passed my this really awesome/ cute/ cool looking chick. It was just something about her that caught my eye.
The next day
Today was your first day at your part time job at a coffee shop for the summer. You lived super close so you just decided to skateboard there. Then you saw the boy that you had seen the other day skateboarding walk into the shop. You wondered if he worked there or not. If he did you knew it would be super annoying cause all the girls would be all over him.
You walked into the shop to your manager talking to the boy. You rolled your eyes mumbling "great" under your breathe.
"Hi! Y/n this is your new co worker Mingyu " your cheery manager said
"Hi Mingyu I'm y/n." You said as you put out your hand to greet him.
"Hi y/n I'm mingyu. It's nice to meet you." He said as he winked at you and smiled showing his sharp vampire teeth. You quickly took your hand out of his and made a tsk sort of sound. You weren't impressed by him at all. More like annoyed. You sorta wished he wasn't like that cause he caught your eye in the beginning but now u don't know about him.
You showed him to the back and started to put on your apron. You started to tie it in the back of you but then you felt someone take the strings and tie it. At first you just stood there thinking "wait what?".You quickly turned around before they could finish to see who it was. You turned around to see mingyu standing there with his hands in place of where the strings were.
" hey what are you doing?" You asked him
"It just looked like you needed a little help" he said with a smirk on his face
"Listen up dream boy, I'm not interested in you so stop flirting with me." You said to him in a stern voice.
"Ooh dream boy huh?Why did you call me that if your not interested?"
He said mimicking you in calling him dream boy.
"To sum it up its another word for f*ck boy. It's just a nicer way of putting it." You replied to him.
"Oh" he said with a surprised look on his face
"Sorry I didn't mean to come off that way it's just you seem really cool so..." He said while trailing off
"I don't believe you" you said back. You then pushed past him to go take orders from the customers
After work that day
It was already night time. You started to head out the door when you heard someone call your name.
"Hey y/n wait up" you saw Mingyu say as he ran up to you. You just made another tsk sound and started to walk
"Wait I promise I'm not really a , what you would call a dream boy, I promise." He said as he walked in front of you to stop you
"Then prove it to me." You said to him
"Fine I will." He said back accepting the challenge
"Ill give you three months. Deal?"
"Deal" he said as you two shook hands to confirm the deal.
For the next 3 months you had so much fun with Mingyu. You would have competitions to see who could do the coolest skateboard tricks and then go get ice cream from a local shop then go to the park to just play around. You two did this a lot together. Work started getting better and it was actually fun. It was still annoying how all the girls flirted with him though. Now the three months are coming to an end.
"Can you hang out after work today y/n?" Mingyu said as he started to take off his apron.
"Ya of course." You replied back
Mingyu pov
Today is the end of the 3 months and I hope I proved to her that I wasn't one of those "dream boys." Today I want to confess to her when we go to the park like we always do.
Your pov
Tonight I want to have the funnest night ever with Mingyu. Sadly today's my last day here. Tonight I will have to pack. Ughh this sucks.
Time skip to the park
"Mmmm that's ice cream was awesome." You said to him as you looked up to the stars
"Hey y/n can I tell u something?" He said to you
"Ya anything what's wrong" you said to him as you looked straight into his eyes. You both stood there for a little bit just looking at each other with your skateboards in hand at your sides.
"Y/n I really like you. Your really cool and fun." He said as he came super close to you. Your faces were to close for comfort but you let him stay there and you didn't back up at all. He then leaned in to kiss you. You kissed back and it soon turned into a passionate kiss but you felt tears running down your face because you knew you had to leave tomorrow. He must have noticed because he pulled away.
"Y/n what's wrong?" He said to you with a worried look on his face as he wiped away your tears with his thumb
"I..I never told you...bu...but I have to go back....back to...to America tomorrow for school." You said in a stutter and cracked voice as you tried to wipe away the tears yourself. He just stared at you for a while trying to process what you just said. You then felt a strong jerk on your back. He had quickly pulled you into a hug causing you both to drop your skateboards. He put his hand behind your head. Your face was at his low chest because he was so tall. You could feel his tears dripping on your soldier.
"Can't you s..stay. I waited 3 months to tell you this. Can't you stay?" He said in a stuttery voice.
"I'm sorry Min...Mingyu I have to." You said as you both just stood there in the park hugging each other not wanting to ever let go.
