A Date?

Sasuke's been in the hospital for two days, still unconscious might I add. Sighing, I climbed out of bed and started to make my way to the hospital. I was so lost in my thoughts that I wasn't watching where I was going and ran into someone. "Oh my gosh I'm sorry." I apologized quickly. "It's fine." A familiar voice chuckled. I looked up to see Neji; I could feel my face start to get hot when I saw that it was him. "Oh hi Neji," I blushed, tucking some of my bangs behind my ear. "Going to see Sasuke?" He asked. "Yeah, what about you?" I asked, looking up at him. "I'm going to go check up on Lee." He replied. "Hope you don't mind some company on the way there." He smirked, making me giggle. "It'd be nice." I smiled. The two of us continued to walk to the hospital while talking about all that has happened so far in our life. 

"Hey I was wondering, would you like to train with me afterwards then maybe grab something to drink or eat?" He asked me once we got to the hospital. "Uhm yeah that'd be nice." I smiled, feeling my face get hotter. "Alright, I'll meet you at training ground five at three?" I answered him with a nod and smile before going off to Sasuke's room. "Hey nii-san. I hope you wake up soon, you're worrying me a lot." I sighed, moving some hair out of his face. "But then again, if you woke to soon then you'd probably stalk me and Neji while we hung out today or get all over protective." I giggled. "I miss you so much Sasuke, the house is to lonely and quiet without you." 

I continued to talk to Sasuke for about an hour before leaving. I decided to go home to the clan lake and take a swim before meeting up with Neji. 'Somebody's got a cruuuush.' Suirō teased me. 'I do not...' I argued back, probably wasn't convincing though. 'Kiddo, if you heard how fast your heart was beating and saw how much you were blushing, then you would have classified it as a crush.' He chuckled. 'So? What if I do like him? Just saying.' 'Nothing wrong with it, just admit it kiddo.' '....Maybe I like him a little.... But he probably doesn't like me back, at least not after he finds out about you....' I sighed as I thought about how I was bullied by my family for having Suirō sealed in me. 'This is why I worry kiddo. I don't like seeing you hurt. Maybe that's why Sasuke's so over protective.' Love for me was something that I deemed impossible. 'Well, he just asked me to train and to grab something to eat or drink afterwards, nothing more.' 'Kid... That's a date.' Suirō chuckled. 'Is not! Friends do that.' I shot back. 'Kiddo, he passively asked you out on a date. From his tone and how he acted when he asked you, I say it's a date. He might not have stated that it was a date, but one day when you two are together and you look back at this, both of you will agree that it was your first date.' As much as I wanted to argue back, he was right. 

"I'm glad you showed up." I heard Neji's voice from behind me, making me turn around. "Why wouldn't I? I agreed to meet you." I smiled. "Last minute nerves? Your brother waking up and stopping you?" He listed. "Nah, even if Sasuke tried to stop me, I'd find a way to make it." I giggled. "Well let's spar a bit?" He smirked, raising an eyebrow. "Mhmmtay, but don't cry when I beat you." I stuck my tongue out at him. "Interesting that you think that you're going to win." He chuckled, getting into his battle stance. I got into my battle stance and willed some of the water from the nearby river to surround me in rings. 

Neji charged at me, but I back stepped and tried to keep him at a distance with the water. "Neat trick," he smirked, disappearing and reappearing in front of me, catching me off guard. I let out a small squeal when he tackled me down to the ground and pin my hands next to my head. "You need to be more on guard," he smirked, lowering his face so that it was merely inches away from mine, "Prepare for the unexpected." When I felt his body relax a bit, I wrapped my legs around his waist and flip him over so that I was on top. I pinned his wrists down next to his head and smirked. Guess what I did surprised him because he gave me surprised look that had a little shock mixed in it. "You were saying?" I giggled, smiling a bit. "I have a feeling that you aren't like most girls around the village." He smirked, kneeing me in my stomach lightly and flipping me over again and held a kunai to my neck. "I win," he smirked triumphantly. A smirk tugged at my lips, and his face twisted to a confused one. "Look behind you." I told Neji. Neji turned his head back, seeing ice kunais at the back of his neck. "Guess that makes this a draw then." He decided, releasing me and getting up. 

I brushed the dirt off of my clothes when I stood up and dusted the back of Neji's shirt. "Why you ask me to spar with you? You could have asked your other team mate." I asked out of curiosity. "Because I wanted to spend time with you." He replied, turning around and looking at me. "Why? There's nothing special about me." I continued to question him. "Because something about you captivates me." He answered, making me blush. "So this is like a little date..." I stated rather than asked. "To be honest, I wanted to ask you out on a date but I couldn't get it out of me for some reason. So this was the closest I could get to asking you out." He chuckled sheepishly. "Is it that hard to ask 'will you go on a date with me'?" I giggled, covering my mouth slightly with my right hand. Neji rolled his eyes and came up to me and poked my sides, making me laugh because I was ticklish. 

"Let's get something to eat and drink." He said, taking my hand and dragging me off to who knows where. He took me to Ichiraku's and we each had a large bowl of miso ramen. I was going to pay for my meal, but Neji refused to let me pay and insisted on paying for me. "Thank you for paying, but you really didn't have to." I thanked him. "What kind of guy doesn't pay on a date?" He chuckled, raising an eye brow. I chuckled and rolled my eyes. 

Then, Neji led me to a drink stand that sold some kind of smoothie with these weird black balls in them. "You look like you've never seen bubble tea before." He chuckled when he saw my expression. (AN: I don't care if there's no such thing there, it is good as eff and I am putting it in the story XP) Embarrassed, I let my head hung and blushed. "You've never had bubble tea?" He asked in a slightly shocked voice. I lightly shook my head. "Well, prepare to enjoy life more." He chuckled, pulling me into the line with him. "Take a look at the options and decide on one." He nudged me lightly, pointing at the board that hung at the top of the stand. "Hmm think I'll try lychee." I decided after looking at the options for a bit. Neji ordered for both of us when it was our turn. 

Once our drinks were done, Neji got it form the worker and handed me my drink as we started walking. I took a sip of the drink and my face lit up, "Oh my gosh this is good." I swear, I probably looked like a little kid eating candy for the first time. "Want to try mine?" He offered, holding out his drink to me. "If that's okay with you," I blushed, bitting my bottom lip slightly. "If it wasn't okay with me then why would I offer you to try?" He chuckled, shaking his drink in my face a bit. I  gently took his drink from his hand and took a small sip. "Mhmm," I smiled, giving back his drink, "That's good too. What is it?" "It's taro." He answered, drinking his bubble tea. 

After a while of walking around and drinking our bubble tea, Neji walked me home. "Thank you, for this afternoon and evening. It was really nice. I really enjoyed it. Thank you." I blushed and smiled. "No problem, and if you really enjoyed it then want to do this again some time?" He smirked. "Are you asking me out on another date?" I smirked back, crossing my arms and leaning to the side. Chuckling, he looked at me in my eyes and asked, "Tsuki, will you go out on another date with me?" Smiling, I looked up at him and replied, "Yes." 

The two of us said our good byes and Neji started to make his way home when I went inside my house.
