Peetas POV

As I slowly begin to rise from my deep slumber after Katniss' nightmare, I can see the sun beginning to rise up over the horizon and making a layer of fog appear through town. It's a cold autumn morning, with the leaves falling gently on the ground. The crisp cold air flows through the open window, hitting my exposed skin, sending chills through out my body. I slowly rise up and stretch, walking over to the window and closing it. I look over to Katniss and watch her sleep over take her body.

Yesterday was magical and eventful of good and bad, and I hope that we can soon be more than friends, if not already. I decide since it seems pretty early that I'll go and make us some breakfast just like yesterday. We have a autumn break off of school now and it just started thankfully. Now Katniss and I will be hanging out more, the more of a chance we will end up together. That kiss was better than I've imagined of for years. I felt her heart race, and I knew she could feel mine. I respect her privacy and her so much that I'm willing to almost disappear and never see the world again.

I walk into the kitchen, light some candles for warmth and light and begin getting the ingredients out. I decide to make waffles, bacon, sausage sticks, toast and obviously, cheese buns.

I'm almost about done with the cooking when a sleepy Katniss appears in the door frame.

"Morning sunshine." I say to her. I walk over and kiss her cheek. She smiles back and her cheeks go a rosy red.

"Morning. Thank you once again for making breakfast and..for helping me with my nightmare." She gives me a heart warming smile and I return it. My stomach has little butterflies and I'm just so overly happy to be a little more affectionate towards the girl I've been inlove with for years.

We sit down and eat. She first goes for the cheese buns since they're her favorite, some bacon, and a waffle. Im guessing she's saving more food for me.

"Katniss, you can take what you want it's fine. I have a small stomach trust me." I say laughing.
"You sure? I don't want you to be hungry." she says looking into my eyes.
"Trust me, we have a bunch of food here if I did, but I won't. Take as much as you would like m'lady." I smirk at her and push the plate of food towards her.

She returns her stubborn smile and grabs more food.

When we finish up, I again let her borrow some of my clothes and I believe I have something planned for today.

I give her the clothes consisting of a navy blue sweatshirt that will fit her perfectly, black jeans, and navy blue socks. I let her take her shower, and when she comes out, I quickly kiss her cheek and head into the bathroom for mine.

When I finish showering, I get out blue jeans, a maroon T-shirt, white socks and brown combat boots, and fold them down.

"What are we doing today?" she asks.
"You'll see, I have a surprise for us. Go out to the car and I'll be there in a few minutes." I tell her and she kisses my cheek, then leaves.

I grab us coats, a pilloried camera that I got from district 4, ice skates, hot coco packets, and Chapstick. I put all of these things in a bag, and head out to the car where I see Katniss hugging herself trying to stay warm. I open the car door and power the car up. She turns on the heat and radio and "Hello" by Adele comes on. She Hums the song with her beautiful voice, while I stuff the bag in the back seat, and set off onto the road.

Since it's pretty cold out in district 12, the lake should be frozen. It's not winter but autumn is very close to winter in the location we are in. As I'm driving she continuously asks me where we're going and trying to get the answer out of me.
