"Yes Paul I understand that the day after Christmas we are leaving for touring again." I say into my phone which I'm currently balancing between my cheek and shoulder as I'm trying to unlock the flat front door. The snow freezing onto my eyelashes really isn't helping much, actually it's making it even harder to see what the hell I'm doing. "Damn door.." I curse under my breath as I keep turning the knob left and right.

"Is everything okay?" Paul asks, uncertainty in his voice as I continue to huff and curse at the frozen lock. "Not really." I mutter. "Oh, I'll call you later then." He says, and with that the line clicks leaving me in the pitch black. Man I wish the lads would've left the outdoor lights on.

As I'm about to give up and kick the door down like those CSI people do on television, the door finally flings open, nearly flying off its hinges. "Finally!" I breathe out, walking into the warm heated flat and shutting the door from hell behind me. As I peel off my heavy winter jacket and scarf, I turn to the living room to see what looks like Harry juggling Christmas ornaments..or atleast trying to.

"What are you doing mate?" I call out, untangling my scarf from my neck.

"Whale hunting. What does it look like I'm doing?" He sarcastically replies. Followed by an 'ouch!' and a giant thud. I run over and find Harry lying on the floor with ornaments scattered around him and a forming black eye. "No it looks more like your getting your arse kicked." I joke as I help him off the floor. "Yeah no kidding. You know, I've always wanted to learn how to jugle but I've never had the balls to do it." Harry says. I can't help but crack up at his rediculous joke as I lead him into the kitchen to get ice for his eye.

"Remember last Christmas when you, the lads and I were sitting outside by a fire and singing random songs because the lock freezed to the flat and we couldnt open the door?" Harry asks, making me nearly bump my head in the freezer as I bend into it to get the ice packs. "Yeah why?"

"And remember we talked about what life would be like for the future?"

"Mhm.."

"Did you expect yours to turn out the way it did?"

"To meet Eleanor in January and live the crazy, unexpected adventure I did and then to get married out of nowhere? No I can't say I would've predicted that but it wouldn't have been fun if I knew what was going to happen, and to be honest I'm glad things turned out the way they did." I say, smiling as I hand Harry the panda printed ice pack.

"Are you glad we're mates again?"

"Of course I am! Like I said, I couldn't stop being your mate, no matter what the situation. Sure we had our rough patches this year, but now it's okay." I say, pulling my boobear into a hug.

"I love you Louis." Harry says into my shoulder.

"I love you too boobear." I smile, running my fingers through his curls.

"I'm just going to get a bag of chips and I'll be out of your way." A familiar voice says. I look up and see my beautiful wife giggling infront of us as she shakes her head and grabs her food. "Eleanor!" I smile, grabbing the hem of her shirt and pulling her into the group hug. "Too much love for me to handle." She chokes out as Harry and I both plant a kiss on each of her cheeks. She pushes us off of her and runs away giggling.

"I'll get you Mrs.Tomlinson!" I yell out, her little scream of joy filling the house with happiness.Damn I love her.

"What did you get her for Christmas tomorrow?" Harry asks, leaning against the counter with the ice pack over his eye.
