Chapter 22: The Stars Shine for Us (Natsu's POV)

"Alright everyone. Since tomorrow is the day we attack, I think it would be a good idea to take the rest of today to relax. Do whatever you want to. "Rochelle announced randomly after practice this morning.

This was a shock for everyone. We were talking when that annoying Val chick cut in.

"Screw that. You are not ready to shine Damien's boots much less battle him. Damien's forces aren't taking a spa day and having a picnic and neither should we!"

"Are you underestimating Fairy Tail? We will be ready when the time comes." Erza growled.

I felt the anger rising between these two. If they fought against each other until one died, I am not sure who would win.

"We need a few hours to relax. There is a lot to be said. A clear mind in a battle is better than one that is clogged with bickering ideas between friends." Lucy answered calmly.

Damn. She is so cute when she is making a point. I just don't know what she wants to clear up. I know there are some things I want to tell her.

"Fine, have it your way then but if you are not ready, don't come crying to me like a bunch of wussy babies." Val sneered as she marched off to whatever hole she crawled out of this morning.

I can't stand that woman. How could Rochelle honestly trust her? I wanted to burn her to a crisp.

"Then it's settled. Enjoy the rest of the day. We will meet at dawn to discuss the strategy." Rochelle announced as she scurried off to who knows where. She has been doing that all week. I wonder what that is about.

Levy and Lucy were talking about something. I wanted to ask Lucy to spend some time with me but before I got the courage, they left the training field and headed to the guild hall.

"Why don't you go ahead and tell her you like her, flame brain?"

I turned around and saw Gray, the last person I wanted to see.

"What?"

"Tell Lucy you like her already. Are you going to be a coward your entire life or are you going to man up and tell her the truth?"

"I don't need love advice from a frozen stripper."

"Oi when did that happen?"

He quickly through on his clothes.

"I will tell Lucy the truth when you tell Juvia how you feel about her."

He froze.

"W...what do you mean by that?" He stuttered.

"It's obvious Ice Cube. You like her."

"Fine. I do like Juvia and you like Lucy."

"Yeah." I felt my face getting hot.

"Then tell her." We yelled at each other.

We blinked.

"Fine. I will." We yelled back at the same time and then stormed off in opposite directions.

I headed towards the guild hall. Inside the dining hall was empty except for Mirajane who was doing dishes.

"Mira, have you seen Lucy?" I asked as soon as I reached the bar.

"I think she is in her room. Do you want me to call her?" She pointed to the phone device that was on the wall. Rochelle explained that it was a lacrima ball but I didn't trust it.

"No. I think I will go ahead and head to her room."

"Oh are you going to finally tell her that you love her?"
