“England? What’s ‘England?” Lucy asked puzzled.

I closed my eyes and created a globe on a pedestal. The pedestal was mahogany with a globe about 10 inches wide bolted onto the base with gold brackets.

“This is Earth, the planet where you are now.” I explained to a bewildered Fairy Tail.

I spun the globe and placed my pointer finger on the United States.

“This is the country where we are now: the United States of America.”

I then moved my finger to the state of Colorado.

“And this is my home, the state we are in right now, Colorado.” I explained.

“Why can’t we see your house?” Natsu pondered.

He was soon pounded by Erza and Gray.

“Baka! This is not the actual planet. It’s a model. It would not show every detail.” Erza growled.

“Uh, Rochelle-san? Where is England?” Wendy meekly asked.

I turned the globe slightly and pointed to the small island country.

“This is England. One of the most powerful nations in the world. It’s where they took my family.”

“How do you know we should head to England?” Raoul questioned as he leaned against the frame of my former front door.

“It was because of the symbols they used in the note. They knew that I would understand their meaning.”

I took out the piece of parchment and laid it out on a piece of broken plywood. The rest of the group circled around me.

“These symbols point to a certain time period. There was a war in England a long time ago between two families, the Yorks and Lancasters. It was known as the Wars of the Roses.” I started.

“How can a war be fought with roses?” Erza pondered out loud.

I had to chuckle at this comment.

“The war was not fought with roses. They were symbols for the families who fought in the war; the red rose represented the Lancasters and the white rose was a symbol of the Yorks. They were cousins and they fought for about 30 years. That was until the Battle of Bosworth Field when Richard III of the Yorks, represented by the white boar, was defeated by Henry Tudor of the Lancasters, the red rose. Henry Tudor became Henry VII and created one of the most powerful dynasties in the world.”

“The Tudors.” Naomi realized.

“But what about the line about the Sun of Splendor and his heirs?” Carla asked hovering over the note.

“There was a rumor that Richard III killed his nephews so that he could be king. His brother, Edward IV, was represented by three suns, known as the Sun of Splendor because there was a legend that on the day of his first victory, three suns rose, showing God’s favor.” I explained.
