Chapter 4 .
(AUTHOR'S NOTE: This chapter is extremely short!"
I was walking along a cold corridor.
"Use your flames to light the candles..." Chase said in my mind, his voice trailing off.
"Where are you!?" I asked, terrified.
"Trust yourself..." His voice said, again, trailing off.
He sounded like a ghost.
"Just a little farther. Keep going..." He whispered quietly.
"Where am I going?"
"Just a little farther..." He repeated.
I started walking down the dark, damp, and cold corridor. It was very creepy. It smelt like rotten fish and feet. Everything suddenly went quiet. All I could hear was the leaves rustling outside. Where am I? I thought.
I heard something down the corridor. I started toward it. There was a damp wooden door. I tried to open the handle and it was locked. I turned around and there was Chase.
"Where have you been!?" Said Chase.v
"What do you mean?" I asked.
He disappeared into dust right in front of me. I heard his voice inside my head again.
"Open the door..."
"I can't. It's locked."
"OPEN THE DOOR!"
"Okay!"
I turned around and tried the doorknob again. It opened this time. I walked into a small pink room. It looked familiar. It was the room that I woke up in when I first got here.. What's happening? I thought, puzzled. The next thing I noticed was a face. It was my face. I was laying there, in the bed looking confused. Right then, Chase came out from under the blankets. I heard him yell "RUN!"
I turned and looked back down the corridor. When I looked back, me#2 was standing right behind me, reaching a hand toward my throat. She looked hard into my soul. Chase was starting toward her to stop her when I started running. I ran as fast as I could down the long, damp corridor. I got to another wooden door. Me#2 was catching up to me. She was almost to me when I burst through the door panting. I turned around. Me#2 had blood on her face and looked as though she was a ragdoll. She was floating in the air sideways. She looked at me through red bloodshot eyes, staring into my soul. I grabbed onto a metal bar beside me, hooked to the wall. I had no clue what I had just walked into. Me#2 reached for my throat once more. The walls suddenly came collapsing in. I was tired from running and my mind was running wild. At the very instant that she layed a finger on my neck, I sat straight up in my bed. Wildly panting.
Oh thank goodness. I said. It was just a stupid nightmare.
