*Claire's POV*
I pulled out my phone and opened the Facebook app. I searched Trevor's name and found his number. After quickly adding it into my contacts I started a new message to him.
Having fun? It sure looks like you aren't.
I watched him and waited for him to see the message. He pulled his phone out of his pocket and looked down at it. I watched as his eyebrows furrowed and he looked around. Shit! I didn't think about this part. Panicking, I grabbed the closest guy and started making out with him. I waited a few seconds before opening my eyes to see if he had stopped looking for whoever sent him the message. He was looking back at his phone. Good.
I let go of the poor guy I'd just randomly declared a face battle upon, not even looking to see who he was, and sent Trevor another text.
Meet me downstairs. Come alone. There's something you should see.
I prayed to whatever party god there may be that Trevor would take the bait. I watched and waited. Slowly he put his phone away and looked around again. Panicking again, I made a mad dash for the basement door. Making sure not to turn on any lights or lock the door behind me, I ran down the stairs trying not to fall and break my ankles.
I felt around until I touched what felt like the back of a couch. I climbed over it and laid down. "Please don't let him find a light switch, please please please..." I chanted over and over to myself silently.
I heard the basement door open and close. I held my breath and waited as I heard footsteps descending the carpeted stairs. I saw a small light flicker on, of course he would use his phones flashlight. I should've thought of that! Oh well it's too late now. All I can do now is close my eyes and hope he doesn't check the other side of this couch.
After a few minutes I opened my eyes and lifted my head up a few inches so I could just see over the couch but I wouldn't be spotted. I saw his light go into the hallway where he started checking several rooms. This basement is huge!
As quietly as I possibly could, I got up and made my way towards the stairs. I crawled up on my hands and knees to avoid any creaking and began my ascent. Finally, I reached the door that would set me free. Once out, I planned on locking the door and keeping him down here so I could move onto Aedan's punishment since he was second in command to Trevor.
I reached out to the door handle to open it but nothing happened. "No, I made sure I kept this unlocked..." I thought to myself. I tried again, and again. It was locked. Trevor must have locked it behind him, that idiot! How did he think he was going to get out? I placed my head against the door and mentally screamed. "That bastard. He's so careless!"
I got up and quietly walked down the stairs. I don't know what I was going to say to Trevor when he gave up searching those rooms, but I didn't have any other options. Guess I'm stuck down here with him until someone came and saved us. Great. I sat down on the bottom step and waited for whatever altercation that was about to happen.
Eventually, I heard a door slam. I saw Trevor's light exit the room at the very end of the hall and start heading towards me. I held my breath again, waiting for him to see me. I closed my eyes and didn't open them until I heard a loud bang and a groan. I didn't see a light anymore. "Why would he have turned the light off?"
I kept waiting until I felt someone crash into me, we toppled around until I found myself on the floor and underneath someone. "Ouch." I muttered from under him.
He scrambled off of me and I heard him scooting away. "I'm so sorry, I didn't see you there! To be fair though, you are sitting in the dark.." I could hear the fake oozing out of his voice. It was so disgusting, I had to stop him before I vomited.
