No Exceptions

*last period bell rings and B makes her way to her locker, she finds Sam leaning against it when she gets there*

(Bailey) hey there

(Sam) hey beautiful

(Bailey) *groan* I kinda wish you were mad at me right now

(Sam) *chuckles* why?

(Bailey) cause I would be mad if you accused me of cheating…I feel like I'm getting away with something I shouldn’t have and it makes me feel bad….plus now I'm grounded and I have four days left here …it would be easier if you were mad at me…

(Sam) well Im not happy you got yourself grounded that’s for sure… any chance your mom might have a change of heart?

(Bailey) I find the chances of that to be very unlikely considering the way I talked to her this morning…but I guess there is always a chance *shrugs*

(Sam) maybe she will make and exception since the tour and all

(Bailey) *shrug* maybe

*Livie walks up*

(Olivia) you ready chicka?

(Bailey) actually I'm going to have Sam drop me off today

(Olivia) okie….call me later *leaves*

(Sam) So I guess I'm taking you home? *smirks*

(Bailey) you can take me home right? I guess I should have asked first…

(Sam) I'm just joking…I'll take any time with you I can get *smiles*

*few minutes later Sam pulls up in front of B’s house*

(Bailey) *groans* you could have driven a little slower…

(Sam) *Chuckles* just go in and see if we can do something, and text me…I'll wait till I hear from you on plans before I leave.

(Bailey) *smile* ok *leans over and gives Sam a kiss before hopping out and running inside*

*B walks in and Mom is sitting at the table on the laptop*

(Bailey) hey Mom

(Mom) Hi sweetie how was school?

(Bailey) ummm, good…ya know…it was school…

(Mom) worked everything out with Sam I see…

(Bailey) how did…

(Mom) they are called windows Bailey…any particular reason he is still sitting outside?

(Bailey) well, we were kind of hoping to go to a movie or something 

*Mom looks up over the back of the laptop*

(Mom) you are grounded…I'm sure you remember

(Bailey) I know…I was hoping you could make an exception seeing as how we leave for tour in 4 days…

(Mom) I'm well aware we leave in four days…in fact I remember reminding you of that very fact this morning when I gave you plenty of warning to change your attitude…the answer is no

(Bailey) well, can he come in and hang out here?

(Mom) what part of your grounded is unclear?

(Bailey) but we wouldn’t go anywhere

(Mom) No Bailey

(Bailey) well how long am I grounded for?

(Mom) indefinitely…

(Bailey) that’s not fair! So I don’t get to see Sam at all before we leave?

(Mom) All things that should have been thought about this morning when you were being so hateful.

(Bailey) But…

(Mom) Nope…

*B growls in frustration*

(Bailey) Well I don’t see why he can't just come in and hang out here…I wouldn’t be leaving

*Mom closes the laptop to stare at B*

(Mom) if you would like to continue arguing we can add to your sentence

(Bailey) add to indefinite? *upset*

(Mom) you want to lose your phone too?

*B growls in frustration before turning and stomping up the stairs to her room, slamming the door*

(Bailey text) cant go anywhere today….

(Sam text) ☹ okie…

(Bailey text) sorry…but she says I can do something after school tomorrow

(Sam text) 😁 YAY!

Bailey’s Inner Monologue

Sure, that little voice in my head is screaming and pulling out her hair right now…but I don’t care….I have 4 days left to see Sam before we go on tour for months….I'm not about to spend them cooped up at home.
