Chapter 10

I woke up on the couch with a blanket gently placed on top of me. The sun shining threw the cream colored curtains placed on the black rod above our huge half-oval shaped window. I walked into the kitchen to see Simon and my boyfriend. I love saying  that, boyfriend.I wrapped my arms around his torso and placed my head on his back. He lovingly rubbed my arms and pulled me in front of him to kiss my forehead.

"Well im off. Sorry to burden you, with the whole me passing out on the couch. See you two at court at noon." Simon shook Liam's hand and hugged me. Ha! He has a favorite! I looked at the clock 9:00AM. So I have just enough time to take a shower and get there early! Woo! I sat down at the breakfast bar to eat bacon, scrambled eggs and toast with Liam. Niall and Zayn woke up and came downstairs to join us.

Afterwards, Liam was on Harry duty and I was on Leila duty. After I had taken a shower and gotten ready, it was around 10:00AM. Record time! I wore a white blouse that was tucked into my black pencil skirt with my black heels. My hair was straightened with my bangs pulled back and regular make up. I snuck up into Leila and I's room. She's normally a light sleeper, but after being at the hospital all night, she was dead to the world. I tried shaking her, still asleep. I turned on the lights, still asleep. Finally, I went to the last resort I could think of, Zayn. "Zayn, get your hot arse up here!" I yelled. Leila was somehow still asleep.

Zayn walked in, "What does my hot arse need to be up here for?" He rubbed his eyes. He was tired too, he didn't leave Leila alone at the Hospital. So sweet!

"Wake her up." I instructed, pointing to the mounds of blankets with my best friend underneath.

He walked over there and bent down to where he was at her level. He gently kissed her forehead and BOOM she was awake."Oh i get it. I try to wake you up, unresponsive. He tries,and you wake up that second!" She rolled her eyes and got out of bed, wearing the same clothes she had on at the hospital. "C'mon lazy bones. We have to leave for court in an hour."

"C'MON C'MON AND DANCE WITH ME BABY!!" Leila sung loudly, "Okay, sorry. Natural directioner reaction. Don't judge me, you judgers. Oh yeah, I have to do that. Ew, effort!" I handed her the outfit and Zayn left to let her change.

At 11AM on the dot, we were all piled into Harry's car and Louis' car. We arrived at court at 11:32AM, leaving us enough time to prepare for court. We sat down, Harry and Leila sitting next to the hired attorney, Lance. Maddy and Jake on the opposite table sitting next to their attorney, Neil.

"Okay, ladies and gentleman," the Judge said with all of us standing, "this is going to be the most unusual court you will ever go to. Please be seated, i'm not the king or anything." That's when the judge saw me. His name is Bill. He's gone to church with me since I was born and been one of my grandpa's very best friends. He had to act like he didn't know me so that the case wouldn't seem biased. "So this is how it will go. Neil will tell their side of the story and Lance will tell the other. Afterwards, witnesses will tell theirs. The jury and I shall decide from there. I expect nothing less than the truth. Neil, begin."

Neil was an older man. He was bald, and wore a navy suit with a striped pink tie. He hunched over a bit as he walked with his cane to the podium. He swore under an oath and began, "You see my clients were brudaly attacked by Mr. Styles and Ms. Nijem. They were all hanging out as friends when they randomly attacked them." Neil then sat down back at his chiar.

I leaned forward and grabbed Leila's shoulders, keeping her from making matters worse. Lance was very handsome, nothing compared to Liam, but still good looking. He had dark brown hair that was a bit shorter than Liam's when the band first started, a nice chisled face. His outfit complemented his tan skin tone as he wore a black suit with a matching black tie. He like Neil, swore under oath and started our story. "Well, my client Mr. Styles was dating Maddy, he found out that Maddy had been secretly dating Jake. My other client, Ms. Nijem was very protective of Mr. Styles, attacked Maddy. Mr. Styles punched Jake for stealing his girlfriend. When they got to the hospital, Jake lied to Maddy saying that Mr. Styles had beat her. Jake then proceded to punch Mr. Styles back after Mr.Styles had punched him for lying." Lance then sat back down among us.

Everyone of us told the same story that our attorneys told, like we were instructed to. We breaked for lunch and time for the jury to decide. "How do you think it's gonna go down?" Harry asked. We were all in McDonald's, eating our meals.

"I think Harry will leave without charges. As for Leila, you have a slim chance of your charges being dropped. ." Liam said. I feel bad for Leila. She'll have to work hard to earn the money to pay it off. She's just a musician in the Symphonic Orchestra with me. She doesn't have another job. I write on the side. She's trying to get published.

After sitting there eating in an awkward silence, we drove back to that court house that could change our lives. We walked hand in hand as couples. As Harry had no one's hand to hold, I held his. I knew Liam wouldn't mind as I was trying to comfort him.

We all sat down once Bill instructed us to do. "Okay here's what we have decided. Harry Styles, the charges have been released. Now Leila your sentence is--"
