Recap:

"What are you hiding from me", I asked her slowly with clenched teeth. I hope she didn't say what was in my mind because my wolf was about to come out.

"I-I already have a mate", she whispered.

That did it.

I was furious. My knuckles started to turn white an my jaw clenched.

Why would she do this to me. She was my soul mate. I couldn't see her sleeping with another man. I washed that thought away, but it kept on coming back. It hurt me. My heart pained  for her.

 My wolf was taken aback when he heard her say those sick words. His feeling were unfathomable. I couldn't blame him. I felt the same way he did. But instead of whining about it, I heard him growl and then rage. I had felt what he was doing. And without another word, I shifted.

Everyone in the room was backing off. Hell I was even scared of my own wolf. A gruesome pain shot through my chest. She had hurt me and I was angry. No one can claim MY mate. What's mine, stays mine! A howl erupted from chest. I was more than angry. Containing myself, I ran.

"Stop Derek. We'll talk it out and fix this. I'm sure there was a mistake", said Kevin.

I stopped. A growl escaped my lips. I was shocked. That wasn't me unless, my wolf took over me. i would never be angry at my best friend. I wanted to talk too but if stayed long enough, I could have caused some harm.

When I ean out the front door a howl erupted from my chest. My wolf was heartbroken. He swallowed more than he could chew.

 I ran as far as I could away from her. I needed to get away from her if I wanted to think straight. The last thing I wanted to do is kill someone who crossed my path.

I saw my friend turn into this huge beast full of anger. I knew his mate had triggered this. Derek's eyes were pitch black. My best buddy turned into a monster. I knew now that his wolf took over and if I try to talk with him, he would just snarl at me.

When he turned his eyes towards the door, I knew he was gonna make a run for it.

"Stop Derek. We'll talk it out and fix this. I'm sure there was a mistake", I stated.

He stopped. I thought he listened to me, but then a growl erupted from his chest. This was not Derek. Derek wouldn't growl at me! This was his wolf. His wolf took full control of him.

With one giant leap,  he ran out of his bedroom. I tried to go after him, but Alice stopped me. She was afraid and sad.

"Kevin, I don't know that much about Derek, but I know that the human that was raging right in front of was not him. That was his wolf and I know the Alpha has the strongest wolf in the pack. It's so strong that even Derek can't handle it."She was right. He didn't have control of his own wolf.

My mate wrapped her hands around my waist into a hug. I knew she didn't want me to go after Derek.

"Kevin please don't go. I beg of you. Let Derek cool down. I don't want something to happen to you while he's angry."

I sighed, knowing this was gonna happen. So I decided to stay, but not for self defense-no way, but to let Derek think through this mess and to keep my mate from being sad. Oh and another thing.
