I stood in shock and my clasp around the telephone loosened, making it fall to the ground.

"Cal? Cal are you okay?" Luke stared at me then walked towards me. I slowly turned my head to look at him.

"T the hospital- it's Arab-bella." I managed to choke out. Luke didn't hesitate to run to the door and go to the car.

"Stay here and wait for Ashton and or Michael." And with that he slammed the door shut. I was standing in the middle of the hall like a fool. A car crash. A motherfucking car crash. Why does it always have to be a fucking car crash?!
Their parents died in a car crash. It's like all the automobiles are trying to kill the Clifford family!
I sat on the couch and roughly dragged my finger through my hair.

A while later...

As my leg bounced up and down I heard the door open. I immediately jumped up and started walking to the door where Ashton and Michael were. Michael's face was bloody and bruised and so was Ashton's a little bit. But that didn't really matter right now.

"We need to go." I said with tears in my eyes. Michael stopped me.

"Where's Arabella?" He asked me quietly. I turned my face towards his and I sudden snapped. I pinned him against the wall.

"If you weren't out fucking around and telling those twits to fuck off. You could've stayed with Arabella! But no. You just had to be the one that had to straighten everything out for yourself instead of being by your own sister's side! You could've kept an eye on her to she wouldn't have gotten drunk and then went to the fucking hospital because she got in a fucking car accident you bastard!" I hollered in his face then leg go of him. Ashton and Michael stared at me blankly.

"No." Michael whispered then ran out the door like Luke did a while ago. Ashton and I stood watching each other.

"You okay mate?" Ashton spoke soothingly. I nodded, breathing out loudly. We ran out of the house as Michael honked the car horn.

Before we could buckle our seat belts Michael had stepped on the gas. I could tell he didn't want to talk. He just stared at the road in front of us as we sped past cars.

"She's going to be okay Mike. She's a tough girl." Ashton spoke some sense into Michael who was now gripping the seat belt.

"The last time someone said that my mother died." He murmured in a quivering voice. Michael was crying, not in sniffles. Tears were running down his cheeks like they were determined to paint every inch of his face with their residue.

"She's going to make it." I said a loud. Michael didn't speak that time, but instead, he stepped on the gas a little more.

...

Michael parked the car outside of the hospital and we all ran out. Michael was ahead of Ashton and I.
Michael slammed the doors open and he yelled.

"Where is she?! Where is my sister?!" He was crying like before, he hadn't even stopped when we were driving. A nurse ran up to him and tried to calm him down by asking him questions. Probably around her early twenties.

"Hey, you need to calm down for me, yeah?" She spoke with a soothing voice as she laid a hand down on Michael's bicep. He just stared at her, his lip quivering, then he nodded slowly.
"Alright, good," she gave him a reassuring smile. "now, what is your sister's name? First and last please." She grabbed a clipboard quickly and a pen. Michael dragged his fingers through his hair nervously.

"A Arab bella Clifford d." He stuttered wildly as he looked at the ground. I walked over to him and rubbed my hand on his back. Ashton came over soon after and stood on the other side of our broken friend.

"Ahh, there she is!" The girl spoke with a hint of happiness. "I'm sorry but the doctor told me that people can't see her at this moment." The nurse looked at Michael sadly, all the happiness in her voice faded away and turned into gloominess. "Follow me," she whispered to Michael, his head shot up quickly and looked at her. "I'll get you in the room."
She started to walk down the hall and we followed her. Why was she doing this? Could she lose her job?

"I thought you said we weren't allowed to see Arabella right now?" Michael asked in a much more normal voice than his old weepy one he had spoke in. She smiled at him.

"I know what it's like to not be able to see a family member when they are injured and in the hospital. It's absolutely nerve wracking and you can't stop worrying."
"Plus I let two other guys go in the room. Must be friends of yours." She added quickly. She was quite cheering even working in a place where people die or are dying. It's nice, it brings some life into the hospital.

"Thank you so much.." Ashton waited for the girl to give out her name.

"Leah. Leah Walsh." She turned around and shook all of our hands. Leah and Michael looked at each other a while and then broke the longing gaze when I cleared my throat.

"Are we close?" I asked as we continued our journey. Leah nodded and stood by the door next to us.

"Remember, you didn't see me or talk to me. Bye, it was nice meeting you." She waved and smiled then left us at the entrance. Michael walked in and then Ashton, finally I stepped in and saw Luke and Ashton standing next to each other in front of a hospital bed. Michael was beside her, and so was someone else but I didn't know who. I went closer and gasped quietly as I saw Arabella. Tears came to my eyes.
