Involuntarily, I yelped and fell on my butt.

“What did you see?” Alyssa asked curiously. “What were you looking at?”

“Umm... six killer wolves that look like they are going to eat me,” I said getting up.

“Oh, those aren’t killer wolves,” Alyssa said.

“Oh really?” I muttered inspecting my bum.

“Yeah, pretty sure,” Alyssa said waving. I turned to look at her, then to the black wolf.

“Look,” Alyssa said to me. I turned to look at the blurry image, but it was no longer blurry.

My jaw dropped; an entire town appeared right in front of me. I recognize the shape in the background as a large rectangular marble building. The disheveled shapes closer to me were actually very large teepees. There were people everywhere. I saw a middle age woman hanging up laundry outside of a ten foot teepee, two elderly men playing checkers, a girl my age walking a fuzzy gray puppy (although I wouldn’t have known at that time that it was actually a wolf-pup).

“Where did this come from?” I murmured.

“It was always here," Said Alyssa. “Welcome to Oikara, Erin." And with that Alyssa (no longer a girl) and the black wolf ran off toward the other six wolves, leaving me standing there like an idiot.

The first wolf was light brown, was the shortest of the six and had bright green eyes, just like mine. Next to it was a very lean auburn colored wolf with dark brown eyes. The third was tall and buff, and had dark brown fur. The next one was pure white and had icy silver-blue eyes you could see from a mile away in the dark. The last two both had golden fur, big yellow eyes and the same medium build. Noticing my stare, the big, dark brown one started to walk towards me.

Frozen to the ground, I had lost the ability to move. The tall wolf stopped about four feet in front of me and stared into my eyes. What was peculiar about this wolf’s eyes was that the left one was hazel and the right was an unnatural navy-ocean blue. Mesmerized by the wolf’s eyes, I nearly peed when a deep, masculine voice literally popped into my mind, and it defiantly wasn’t my conscience.

‘Come with me, child.' it said. I looked all around me, but there wasn't any man (or woman, for that matter).

‘Don’t be afraid. my child,' it said soothingly, ‘I have no intention of harming you what-so-ever.'

I looked up at the wolf; I had a strange feeling that the voice was coming from him (or her, I guess. Hey, you never know).

‘Follow me.’ said the voice, and the wolf turned and started walking to the others, me right behind him.
