I followed the wolf to the others. I felt like I could trust him, even as a wolf he seemed so tranquil. As I walked through the village or town or whatever it was, I drew some attention. The woman I saw hanging up laundry was staring at me. Not in a rude-ish way though, more in an obliged-ish way I guess. She was holding a folded whit sheet in her hands and she watched me walk behind the dark brown wolf.

Other people started noticing me too. Some teenagers that were walking by stopped to stare also. A little girl who was jump roping whispered something to her mother after she saw me. ‘Well this is strange’ I thought. ‘Sooner or later, you’ll get used to it’, the deep voice from before said. I’d hate to admit it, but I was scared out of my wits for the first time that day. The voice was soothing and smooth yet sort of ominous.

The dark brown wolf and I had finally reached the pack. I recognized Alyssa and the black wolf, but the others were still unfamiliar to me. The two golden wolves came up to me first. The one on the left stepped in front of the other and bowed dog-style. When it came up the other bowed too. ‘This is getting really weird’ I thought, while trying to keep a straight face while the other six bowed.

Just as Alyssa finished bowing I noticed that the people in the village were still staring me. As soon as I look towards the villagers, though, they didn’t even hesitate to bow before me. I’m telling the truth here! At least 150 people bent over in front on me, while I stood like an idiot on a hill next to eight wolves. Of course the first thing I do is shout, “stop!” Everyone looked at me including the wolves. “Why are you all bowing? Stop it!” I don’t know why I was so upset, I just didn’t understand.

“You didn’t tell her yet?” a woman’s voice rang out over the silence. I spotted the speaker. It was the woman that was doing laundry. “We have all waited 14 years for the Alpha and she has yet to even know her purpose!” The shout wasn’t directed at me but at the dark brown wolf.

Suddenly a tall, muscular man with caramel colored skin, dark brown hair and mismatched eyes appeared next to me.  “We have a reason for concealing the Alpha’s purpose! We now have to bring her to the Clairol!” He said. There was a shout followed by another.

“Tell me what?” I asked, “What’s and Alpha and Clarol?” I asked the werewolf man who was gently pushing me toward the other side of the hill. “You’ll find out soon enough” he said, and turned back into a wolf, still leading the me and the other wolves down the hill.
