Kao's alarm clock ran thick in his ear. He rolled over and clicked snooze, only to see Salem staring him in his face.
"No time to dilly" she said "get up, get dressed, and get stronger!"
"Don't say dilly again." he said as he rolled onto his feet "time to train huh? Where's jack?"
"Present and accounted for" jack said as he walked into the room "you ready to get started?"
"Yeah just let me change real quick."
Kao put on a red shirt and jeans, then put his hat on backwards and walked out of the room. He was still half asleep when they reached the field, he walked over to the others and took his place beside panic.
"You ready for hell bro?" panic asked
"Im dead right? What better time to find out?"
Bruto arrived at the lineup, as strong and in charge as he ever was. He looked over the group and rested his eyes on kao.
"It's your first day of training kid, im going to put you with panic. Listen to him closely. The first half of the day is physical activity, running, lifting, climbing etc. the second half of the day is personal power training, we will meet up at lunch and go over your specific regiment. That book you have will come in handy."
"Yes sir"
"All right, as you all know there are some serious changes going on at Archi-tech. we have to be ready to face these threats at any given moment. Riot, Anna, you're on mission today so meet at the lockdown point in half an hour. Pack for a few days."
"Yes sir" they said
"Good any questions? No? Dismissed."
"Huh!" they said as they all vanished.
Bruto rolled his eyes and let out a sigh, then tapped his foot until panic reappeared.
"Sorry sir, i forgot kao couldn't jump yet"
"Well don't forget again! We don't want him lost in the woods do we?"
"No sir"
"Carry on."
Jack phased out of kao's body "hey kid, you don't need me for the first half of the day. We will meet up here at lunch."
"Cool" kao replied
Panic turned and began walking toward the dorms, kao followed and met his pace. It wasn't long before panic was talking up a storm.
"Bro this is gonna be so sick, dude! Gonna run, punch some stuff, kick some stuff, lift some stuff! Freakin exciting or what?"
"Yea man, i guess."
"Good guess bro!"
They reached the back of the school grounds, where the brush was thick and full of strange plants kao had never seen before. Trees with fruit as large as your head, vines of every color in the spectrum. Several of the trees were as tall as redwoods and the color of concrete. Strange sounds came through the thick brush, animals of a whole new evolutionary plane.
"All right dude! were gonna run to the training grounds, then lift, then run, then do some fighting exercises, then run, then spar, then run back. Sound good?"
"Sounds good to me man."
"All right! Why don't we race there huh? Just follow the path, last one there buys lunch!"
