Danny and Steve arrived at the beach within the hour. They walked up to the small group of kids who were sitting in a huddle. One of the boys stood up when he saw them.
"I'm very sorry, she went in for a drink and we were surfing and didn't think anything of it until we came in." He spoke quickly, was wringing his hands and looked very nervous and scared.
"Hey kid, kid, what's your name?" Steve said touching the boy's shoulder.
"Drew, sir."
"Ok, Drew, I need you to calm down. Okay? Can you do that for me?"
"Yes, sir." He took a few shuddering breaths.
"Okay, now we're going to go talk to the officers and look at the crime scene. You kids should all go home."
"Okay sir."
The two men walked over to where they could see Kono, Chin, and Grover were. A large stick lay on the ground with blood on one side. Steve heard Danny's breath catch, he reached and grabbed his husband's hand. Chin looked at them grimly.
"Look, I know this is hard for you guys. I would tell you to go home but I know you won't, so let's find Lauren."
Kono put on a pair of gloves and picked up the weapon, "So, We collected a sample of the blood and we are sending it in to Eric. But it looks like she was taken by surprise." She said, "Hey, guys. Listen, she's a tough kid. She'll get through this."
"We need to set up a line for a ransom call at your house." Grover said.
"Okay, guys. Thank you so much. Let's get back to our place and set up for a ransom." Steve said. Danny stayed silent. That scared him. They headed back to the house more frightened than before.

Lauren's POV
When I came too, it was dark and my head was pounding. I could feel a gag in my mouth and my hands were tied together. In the dark, I could sort of make out a guard on the other side of the room. The room was cold and I could feel a constant drip of liquid on my hand. Check for your knife. My dad's voice echoed in my head from our training sessions. I checked my back pocket and found that I had been searched. Now assess your surroundings, in these types of situations, one mistake made by the kidnapper could be your way out. I looked around as my eyes started to adjust to the darkness. I looked around and tried to see what was around me. There were some shovels and tools on the wall across the room. There was a wooden set of stairs over where the guard was. Just then, the door at the top of the stairs opened and footsteps descended down them. The man came over to me and crouched down.
"What do you want?" I growled.
"Ooh, a feisty one. I should've known, just like her Daddies." He grabbed my chin. I spit in his face. He wiped it off and smiled grimly.
" You'll regret that." He said. Then he slapped me, hard. "Come on, we are going to call you're dads." He pulled me to my feet by my hair and dragged me up the stairs. I must have been kept in a basement because the upstairs was just a normal looking house. The man picked up a phone and dialed a number.
"Mr.McGarrett-Williams, I believe I have something of yours."
