Joe always stared at you in class. Not in a creepy way, just in a curious kind of way, like he was trying to figure something out.

After class Joe stopped you as you were about to leave to walk home.

"Why don't you talk to me? Or anyone?" Joe asked suddenly grabbing your shoulder

You just shrugged and looked at the ground awkwardly

"Do you not like how your voice sounds? Cause I'm sure I'll love it... If you let me hear it."

You shook your head and continued to look at the ground

"Well why don't you speak?" Joe asked kindly, inviting you to answer him

You shrugged again, this time looking up and making eye contact with Joe.

You gasped when you caught his icy blue eyes

It was time to confess...

"I-I-I r-really...um...like you" you stuttered with growing confidence, "I was worried if I said anything I'd make a fool of myself. And I don't speak in class because I know you're there, watching and just knowing that makes my nervous" you were laughing at how silly it all sounded out loud.

"Oh my god, she speaks." He joked, "Look you don't have to be nervous around me. Anyway, I like people who make fools out of themselves, it shows that they embrace who they are." Joe admitted. "But wait... You actually like me?"

"Yeah I do, a lot..." you blushed

Joe pulled you into a tight hug

"I really like you too. That's why I always watch you in class, I've been trying to figure you out for the longest time."

You both smiled and walked home hand in hand until it was time for you to go your separate ways.
