"Babe?" You called downstairs to Joe, "will you come here a sec please?!"
"Sure." Joe said jogging up the stairs and into the bathroom, "what's up?"
"Well, I was late on my period..." You trailed off thinking he'd know where you were going but the confusion on his face told you otherwise, "well, I brought a pregnancy test and..." You turned the test so the results faced Joe.
Joe gasped putting his hand over his mouth, "what how come? I'm gonna be a dad oh my god!" He started jumping up and down
"I can't believe it! I don't think I'm ready, we didn't plan this, how will we cope?" This baby was an accident and you really weren't ready
"Don't worry, we'll... Learn on the job." Joe smiled optimistically
"But what about the pain? I'm not ready. I don't know whether I can do this." You sniffed
"I'll be right here all the way, I'll be doing everything with you. And the pain... Well... I don't have a solution for that but, I'm sure it'll be fine." Joe didn't know the first thing about birth pain. But neither did you to be honest.
"I need to go tell the boys!" Joe smiled before leaving the room
"This is gonna be a tough 9 months." You muttered to yourself
