i walked into my room, it was clear. only my empty furniture was left and it became more real that i was leaving. my bags were in the car and my boxes had been shipped weeks before hand. my mother walked behind me, embracing me in her arms.
"i know what your thinking, but its going to be okay, i raised you well and i know your ready for this" my mother whispered.i fought back tears, but eventually they escaped and i turned to hold my mum while i sobbed. she just held me, her wrinkled hand stroking my long brown locks. i composed myself and walked out of the house, where my dad, brother and little sister were waiting. my mum and dad were quite old, my dad had greying hair and my mother wrinkled with brown hair like my own. i embodied her at a young age, with the same tan skin, jade eyes and mousy brown hair.my brother on the other hand was the clone of my dad with blonde hair, blue eyes and pale skin. my little sister is a good balance of both, my mothers brown hair and tan skin, and my fathers blue eyes and skinny figure.
we all loaded into the car and my father drove us to the international airport. my sister lucy, 6, curled up to me, knowing i would be going away for a very long time. my brothers long arm reached across the car, and rested on my sholder, comforting me.
we reached the airpot and when it was time to board i took in the view of my family. my brother jacob, so tall and sweet, my mum, so loving, my dad looking tough and avoiding eye contact, ensuring he wont cry, and lucy in her pink one direction shirt, so little and cute. i faught tears yanking on my grey jumper i swooped to hug them all in a group before i turned to board the plane to london, my new home for a whole year.
