The New Boy

A letter

Mina's POV

You stepped into Danny's car and motioned him to drive away. You glanced at the beach and saw Harry on his knees, crying his eyes out. You actually felt bad for just leaving him there but he had gotten himself to that point. ''So are you gonna explain what happened?'' Danny asked careful as he glanced at you. ''Later.'' You mumbled softly since you didn't really wanted to talk about it. Danny drove off to a little café a few blocks further. You both sat down and ordered a coffee while you explained everything that happened since you were in Holmes Chapel, excluding the panic attack. You didn't wanna tell that since it was something quite private. Danny sighed heavily when you were done. ''Do I need to beat him up? Because I will and you know that.'' Danny warned. You chuckled slightly but then sighed deep. ''No, it's just over you know. I don't want you to get back at him otherwise we'll keep going and I just want to get it over with.'' You said. Danny looked kind of surprised. ''You're really done with him, aren't you?'' He asked. ''Yeah..'' You whispered as you shut your eyes for a second. The memories of you and Harry came flooding back. The way he talked to you, his protectiveness, the way he made love to you, the way he joked around.. Basically everything. You opened your eyes and tear escaped your eye. ''Mina, if you miss him, you should talk to him and work things out..'' Danny whispered as he held his hand on yours. ''I just can't.. He really broke me Danny, I can't let that happen, not again.'' You said trembling and cleared your throat before you stood up. ''I need to pick up some stuff at his parents' place.'' You said and Danny nodded understandingly. After you gave him the directions, you two drove to Harry's parents place. You weren't looking forward to this, what if Harry was there?

''Are you sure I don't have to come with you?'' Danny asked worried as he looked at you. ''I have to do this alone but thanks anyway Dan. You're a real friend.'' You said as you gave him a kiss on his cheek. He smiled weakly before you stepped out o the car. You breathed in and out, before knocking on the door. Des opened the door and smiled weakly at you. ''Are you alright?'' He asked softly. ''No but I will be.'' You said and smiled weakly back. He nodded before he led you into the house. ''Your stuff was spread out around the room and I didn't wanna intrude on your privacy so you can pack it yourself upstairs.'' Des said and led you to the guestroom. ''Thanks Des.'' You said and embraced him in a tight hug. ''You will always be my first choice on daughters in law.'' He joked as he pulled away and walked downstairs. Des was a really good man, you thought by yourself as you opened the door to the guest room. 

Harry's POV

The door to the guest room opened and you prepared yourself. You cleared your throat and Mina opened the door. ''What are you doing here?'' She asked shocked as she froze in her spot. ''I wanna talk to you.'' You said as you walked up to her. She quick walked past you and started folding here clothes before putting them in her suitcase. You sat down next to her and looked at her beautiful face. She knew you were looking at her and was clearly uncomfortable with that, it hurted you to see her so terrified of you. ''I'm sorry and like I said before, I am willing to do everything I can in my power to make it up to you. Mina, I love you and I miss you. Please take me back?'' You said but she didn't give you any reaction. ''I made some mistakes, it's not like I don't regret them.'' You said again but still, she just continued folding her clothes. ''Are you even listening to what I'm saying?'' You pleaded desperately but she didn't even glance at you. ''I'm sorry, what else can I say?'' You said. She was still focused on folding here clothes but you knew she had a hard time dealing with everything. ''God dammit Mina!'' You shouted frustrated as you grabbed her folded clothes and threw them away. She looked at you with her beautiful innocent eyes. You breathed heavily by now and just looked back at her. ''Just let me pack my stuff and leave me alone, please.'' She said and her voice broke. She didn't want this, you were sure of that. ''No Mina. I love you and I know you also still love me. Just give us a chance.'' You pleaded as you looked into her eyes. She shut eyes softly and looked back at you again. ''You broke me Harry.'' She whispered. You saw a tear rolling down her cheek and you wiped it away before she could do it herself. You honestly didn't know how to reply to this, she was right though. You had broke her but you regretted every single bit of it. Mina sighed heavily before she stood up and collected her clothes from the ground you threw them on. This time she didn't fold them, she just chunked them in her suitcase. You watched her carefully collecting her stuff and when she was finally done, she stopped and looked at you. You slowly walked up to her and just stood there, staring at her for a second. You slowly stroked her cheek with your thumb as you came closer to her, and before you knew it, you had placed your lips on her. Her lips felt warm and soft against yours but the moment was soon gone when she placed her hands on your chest, pushing you away. She had never resisted your kiss..

Mina's POV

You just denied Harry's kiss. Never have you ever done that to him. He looked down at his feet and fumbled with the sleeve of his sweater. The Harry you came to knew, the badboy, wasn't seen in this boy standing in front of you. The boy in front of you looked full of guilt, full of sorrow and regrets. ''Mina please don't do this to me.. I beg you.'' Harry whispered as he still looked down. You restrained the tears that were about to fall. You slowly stepped towards Harry and pulled your arms around his waist as he immediately accepted the hug. You felt him sobbing in your arms, he was shaking heavily. ''I won't be able to deal with this.'' He sobbed desperately as he didn't let go of you. You just held him tight. Suddenly the door flung open and you turned around to see Danny standing in the doorway. His face immediately softened when he saw Harry wasn't doing you any harm. Harry quick let go of you and wiped his tears away. ''I-I'm sorry. I thought something was wrong.'' He said. You smiled weakly at him before grabbing your suitcase and walking downstairs. Harry followed you slowly, on the way to the door you just heard him sniffling softly or inhaling deeply. Danny already walked to his car, leaving you and Harry at the doorway alone for a second. ''I'm sorry I couldn't be perfect.'' He said softly as he looked at his feet. You still remembered the promise he had made, that night at the party when he promised you to be perfect, for you. You stood on your tiptoes and Harry bent down as you placed your lips softly on his cheek, giving him a goodbye kiss. Your lips lingered there longer then planned. You slowly pulled away and gave him a weak smile. ''Bye Harry.'' You said softly as you walked towards Danny's car. You promised yourself to not look back because then you wouldn't be able to control yourself. You would be running back to Harry and that wasn't the plan. You sighed deep before stepping into Danny's car. ''Are you alright?'' Danny whispered as he grabbed your hand softly. ''No.'' You said before bursting into tears. This was it. Harry and you were officialy over.

Harry's POV

You looked at the love of your life, walking away, for good this time. You had really messed up Styles, you thought by yourself. When the black Mercedes wasn't in eyesight anymore, you slowly closed the door and walked up to your room. That night you cried like a little girl.

The sun was shining slightly through your window and you got up and took a shower. There was still an empty hole in your heart and it needed to be filled. Normally you would go to a club to get your mind off problems or hit up another girl but this time that wouldn't be pleasing. There was only one thing that would make you content and that was having Mina back. You dressed yourself and packed your stuff. ''Where you're going son?'' Your dad asked surprised as he saw you and your suitcase. ''I need to get Mina back.'' You muttered as you looked down. It was a shame you let her go that easily. ''I'm glad you finally realised.'' Your dad said as he gave you a quick hug. ''Where's mom?'' You asked and looked around. ''She's shopping.'' Your dad said. ''Say her I'm sorry for just leaving like that but I really need to get out of Holmes Chapel..'' You said. ''I know what it does to you son. Now go and win her heart back!'' He said encouraging and smiled. You nodded before you walked up to your car. Suddenly you saw Rachel walking up to you, she seemed sad when she saw the suitcase. ''Are you coming back?'' She suddenly said after you put your suitcase in the trunk of your car. ''No.'' You whispered and a tear rolled down her cheek. ''I miss you.'' She said as she wiped away her tears. ''Rach, I'm not that guy you fell in love with. I was unhappy and you need to understand that. I will never be that person again.'' You said as you gave her a quick hug. ''Fine, goodbye Harry.'' She whispered and smiled weakly. You felt so bad for the girl you had spend the longest time with in your past. ''Come here.'' You mumbled as you gave her another hug, this time she was sobbing heavily. After a few minutes you let go of her and stepped into your car. In the car you were thinking of a way to find your way back into Mina's heart. It wouldn't be easy but you would do everything. Everything.

Mina's POV

It's been a few days since you had last seen Harry. After Danny had brought you home, you locked yourself in your room and tried to get rid of the missing space in your heart. There were nights where you just cried yourself to sleep. The fact Harry didn't even contact you once since you were home, hurted. But you understood it though, you made him clear you didn't want anything to do with him. Your mum wasn't coping well with the divorce, she was working since the moments she woke up till she fell a sleep. Today you had school and you had been dreading this day since the moment you left Holmes Chapel. You didn't know how you would deal with seeing Harry again. You just hoped you wouldn't break down. You wore black tights with a denim top and black studded boots. You let your dark brown hair fall down and put on some makeup. You just hoped you looked decent. Luckily Danny would pick you up for school so you didn't need to take the bus. At exactly 8, the doorbell rang and you grabbed your bag before leaving for school. ''Hey Dan.'' You said quickly before stepping into his car. Danny knew by now, you didn't wanna talk about Harry. Like you said, it was over. He looked worried at you before he started the engine and drove to school. ''You look really beautiful today.'' He muttered suddenly. ''Why thank you Danny.'' You grinned slightly, seeing him all flushed. ''You look really beautiful too.'' You mimicked him and he chuckled softly. He did though, his jawline was absolutely one of a kind. His brown eyes, just like yours but still differently, prettier in your opinion. And now during summer, they turned green what you absolutely loved. The two of you arrived at school and soon walked up to the yard. The rumour about you and Harry's break up was obviously already spreaded around since girls were silently laughing to themselves and boys would chek you out from head to toe. ''Ignore them.'' Danny whispered in your eyes and you smiled weakly. ''I'll see you in class.'' Danny said quickly before walking up to his friends who were standing against a wall, smoking a cigarette. You walked up to your locker to grab some books when the bell rang. You walked up to the class you had now, you had art which was with Harry.. You took a seat and waited for the teacher to start. After a half hour suddenly Harry came walking into the class. He looked tired with his morning hair. ''Care to join us in class huh Mr. Styles?'' The teacher said sarcastic but Harry completely ignored her. His usual seat was in front of you. He immediately looked at you and smiled weakly. You smiled awkwardly back and then he decided to sit next to Sophie. Your heart just broke a little bit but he did the right thing, right? The bell soon rang and you quick walked up to your next class. In your hurry to not face Harry, you bumped into someone. ''Sorry.'' You muttered quickly and the person turned around to you. Just your luck, it was Harry. His friends were standing a few meters away from him, probably waiting for him. He looked down at you and he let out a soft chuckle. ''It's okay.'' He said and you finally got the courage to look into his eyes. His green eyes appeared to be happy.. You quick shoved your way past him and walked to your next class. You took a seat next to Danny and was just happy he was there to help you through the day. The rest of the day consisted of hurtful glances at Harry who seemed to be busy with all the attention he was getting from girls. You'd be thinking you were over reacting but seriously, every girl just threw herself on Harry. You didn't blame them though, he was single and very good looking. At 5 o'clock you smiled happily since you were finally done with this horrible school day. You opened your locker and suddenly saw an light blue envelop on top of your books. It was directed towards you since there stood; To Mina on the envelop.
You curiously slid yourself down your locker onto the ground and carefully opened the envelop.

Dear Mina,

I know you are quite surprised with this letter I'm writing for you, and to be honest, I am too. Never had I ever thought I'd be the one in my livingroom, writing letters to the girl but hey, here I am, writing this letter at 2 o'clock in the night.

Before I knew you, I never knew I could fall so hard for a girl. But then you came, and guess what? I fell for you. Harder then I could ever imagine. The way you smiled at me, it felt like a dream, so beautiful. Your smile made my heart beat harder and faster every second. It gave me a warm feeling I was looking for my whole life. Love.

Now I realise what for brave young lady you are. That's what I love so much about you, the way you never stopped trying. Your strenght to get through things, encouraged me, to also move on. 

Unfortunately, everything went wrong. I was trying to get so close to you but at the same time, I pushed you away. I have made it myself ánd you very but you need to know, that I didn't want that. And I'm gonna be really honest now. Sometimes I questioned your love to me, because how could someone so sweet and innocent, love someone like me? But when I looked into your eyes.. They spoke more than a thousand words. I know that I have neglected our love but I hope you know that none of it was your fault, it was all along me. I think it's horrible you needed to get through all of that pain, just because of me. I'm not worth any of your tears, so please don't cry ever again for me, promise? The thing I should've done then, was loving you. 

I often find myself, thinking about the times we spend together and you don't know how much the thought of not having our moments, hurts. I honestly gave it my best. 

You renewed my eyesight, you changed my world, for the better. I forgot how it felt to just breath. I learned to walk the path that is my life and it feels good. I need to thank you for that. You showed me love and that made me stronger. I hope you will forgive this loser that is writing this, and please, walk the path of life with me?

This looks like a goodbye note, but honestly it's a note, asking for a new begin. A begin I would like to share with you.

Sorry if this note is messed up or weird or even something else negative. I never really wrote letters like this, hell I never write any kind of letters. But I know you love to read so I though you'd like this.
