Chapter Five: Friends From The Other SideFrancis walked across the grassy field where Audrey was with her friends at cheerleading practice. And although Francis didn't particularly like girly things, he enjoyed watching the cheerleaders. "Ready? Okay!!" They said as Audrey, who was their team captain, started the cheer. Francis sat down on the bleachers and watched. "You'd better not do anything to Audrey!" Jane exclaimed. "Shhhh!! Be quiet or I'll make it easier!!" Francis commanded and Jane was silent.
When practice was over, all of the cheerleaders climbed the bleachers to grab their bags and bottles. Everyone stared at Francis, not because anyone was attracted to him, but because he was watching them. Audrey was the last to notice him. When everyone was gone she approached him, "What are you doing here?!" Francis stood up, "I came to talk to you." Audrey turned around, "There's nothing to talk about!" She faced him again, "Your a villain and I'm a princess! We just don't... belong together! And I'm already dating Chad..." Francis was hurt, really hurt. But not as hurt as this "Chad" was about to be...

Mal sat at the edge of the cell, Evie had just left and she had no idea why. She was still bawling her eyes out, Ben had just broken her heart and stepped all over it, but she couldn't blame him. It wasn't his fault, it was the villains! Anger raged through Mal as she stood up to face Carlos and Jay, "I'm going to make Vanessa and the others pay for what they are doing!" Jay stood up as well, "Mal, don't talk like that, you're starting to sound like them!" Mal clenched her fists. Carlos walked over to Mal's side, "Mal don't do this! This is exactly what they want!" Mal whirled around, "Then maybe I'll give them what they want!"

Khristopher and Hannah walked down the dark tunnel, the only light was of the lantern and the spark between them. "I really am sorry..." Hannah said after a long while of silence. "Hannah, I told you, it's okay. It's really not your fault!" Then the silence returned for about two more minutes.
She could not understand why in the name of Auradon he was helping a girl he just met, let alone the daughter of her parents' enemy. 'Good people are seriously weird.' Her thoughts were soon inturrupted when Khristopher announced, "We're here..." In front of them was a giant metal hatch with an inscription on it, "Dig... hvem... føre... aldri vende? What does that mean?" Khris asked. Hannah looked up, "I know what this says! My father taught me when I was very young, because he lived in a place with this culture..."
She rubbed the metal script, "Thee... who... pass, never.. return..." The two's eyes popped out of their heads, "Um..." Khristopher said "M-m-maybe it's j-just something to sc-scare trespassers away?" Hannah shook her head, "Well, we've gotten this far..." She pushed against the door with all of her strength, when Khris joined in and eventually the door opened. Khris grabbed hold of Hannah's hand, she just stared at it. "Let's go."

Belle placed her finger onto the sprayer and- "STOP!" She turned around and saw Ashton with his hands in from of him, he was sweating. "Ashton? What is it?" He ran up to her, grabbed the perfume and threw it out the window. "Ashton! Why'd you do that?" He turned to face his father's sworn enemy, "I'm sorry..." He broke down to the ground, crying. Now Belle could see what was happening, "Ashton, it's okay. I-" "NO IT'S NOT!" Ashton exclaimed "You don't get it do you? That 'perfume' was a love potion! My... my father made me use it on you, that way you would leave Beast and leave Auradon... to go... marry him..."
Belle was very angry, but not at Ashton. She was mad at Gaston, "Ashton, thank you for stopping it... I forgive you." Ashton stared at Belle with a blank face, "Really? F-Forgive? You mean it?... I don't understand... You don't think I'm being childish or... or... or... weak?" Belle shook her head violently, "No, no, no, no, no, no! Of course not, Ashton! Consider this the bravest, and most courage at act I've ever seen, and that includes a silly old Prince saving a princess." He smiled, he just saved an unhappy and forceful relationship...'My father is going to kill me!'

Evie sighed, "Okay... well, there's something that... um... something that I really need to get off my chest..." Uma smiled, "Go on..." Evie continued, "Okay, well... here it goes...
At Ben's coronation, when everything went through and all the drama was done Mal chose good, and then Jay, me, and then Carlos. But I thought it was all an act, I didn't know they really chose good..." Uma scratched her head, "I'm not good!" Evie laughed "I never wanted to be good, I assumed that everything was just an act..." "When did you realize it wasn't?" Uma asked. "A few weeks after Ben became king." Uma realized the whole situation, "So then why did you need to talk to me?" Evie dithered, "I-I... I..." "JUST SPIT IT OUT!" Uma screamed. "I want to join your team!"•••
Uma's guards sighed at the sound of Mal's screaming and crying. Mal was in the cell plotting her revenge. "Mal..." Carlos began "Why are you doing this? We will figure out how to save your's and Ben's relationship!" Mal glared at him, "Don't you get it!? Uma has his soul, he has to do what she wants! He has no choice! I'm so mad at her! I'm going to make her pay..." Mal whisper-shouted in response. "Don't say that Mal! You're falling into her trap! She wants us to return to our old habits. We can return his soul... somehow..." Jay insured. "IT'S JUST IMPOSSIBLE!" Mal shouted "The only way to return his soul is to..." Mal's breathing increased, and her eyes bulged. "Is to what?!" The boys commanded. "...is to take another soul..."
