Chapter Seventeen: Happily Ever After...almost

     Audrey was ready to go inform Jane, Chad, and the others about what was going on. "Let me come with you!" Francis insisted. Audrey shakes her head, "You need to go get Ashton, and this kingdom needs your help fixing it. Please.... do it for me?" Francis looks to the ground, then back at Audrey, "Okay" Audrey wraps her arms around his neck, "Thank you." Francis wraps his arms around her waist, "I'll fix this. I promise." he whispers.

     Francis caught up with Uma, Khristopher, and Hannah. "So... Do you know where Ashton is?" Uma asked. "No, not really." Francis replied. Uma smacked her forehead, "You're the last one who saw him!" Francis jumped back, "I'm sorry! All I did was tell him to get out so I could talk to Audrey.... If I were Ashton, where would I be?" Hannah raises her hand, "Oh! Maybe he's with Gaston?" Uma shakes her head, then nods, "That's a good idea! Let's go!"

🏹 ASHTON'S POV 🏹

     Francis kicked me out of our dorm room, so I left and explored the new Auradon. It was horrible; everything was burnt, citizens were fleeing, and the villains were getting their revenge. I can't believe I never noticed how awful we made things. "Ashton!" I froze, "Oh no!" I turned around only to see my father. "How've you been!? Nice. Okay, so I've located Belle and that Beast! What have you been doing!?" I just stood there, blankly. "I...uh...-" "That doesn't matter anyway!" he interjected "What matters is that we go get our revenge! C'mon son!" he started walking.

     I was almost tempted to follow, but some sort of light inside me told me not to, "No." my dad turned around, "Ahem! What!? Why!?" I emanated loudly, "Because... because it'snot our revenge, it's your revenge... and, I don't... I don't want to be evil anymore. AND I also won't let you hurt Belle, Ben, and Beast!" my father looked extremely surprised, "How could you say something like that!? I-" "YOU were the reason why Belle didn't want to marry you! Because your arrogant, selfish, and rude! And Belle is humble, selfless, and kind!  THAT is why you have no right to get 'revenge!' Because it wasn't their fault! It was yours!"

     I shifted my eyes, and saw Uma, Hannah, Francis, and Anna's kid staring at me with their eyes wide open, as well as their mouths. "I'm assuming you heard the whole thing?" they nodded slowly. I walked up to Uma, "Do you have a spell that can imprison our parents?" I whispered. She leafed through the pages of her spell book, "Yes," she murmured back "I can use it right now on-" I looked up, my father was gone!

3rd person POV

      Uma slapped her forehead and collapsed on the ground, "We're idiots! I cannot believe we let him get away!" Hannah sat down next to her, "Well I guess we have new assignment!" Uma beamed up at her, "What!?" Hannah smirked, "Our parents gave us an assignment that got us here in the first place..." she began "now we need a plan to get them out of here!" Ashton scoffs, "How!? We don't even know where any of our parents are! And I really don't feel like splitting up again!"

     Khristopher taps his chin, "I've got it!" Francis extends his hand dramatically, saying to tell them already. "What if we create a diversion?" Uma shakes her head, "That's a good idea, but what exactly are we supposed to use to create that diversion?" Khris laughs, "Leave that to me! Uma, you work on the spell! Ashton and Francis, you guys get Mal, Carlos, Jay, Evie, and Ben! Hannah.... c-come with me. Let's do this?" everyone nods, "Let's do this!" Uma exclaims. "I didn't want to split up, but  okay." says Ashton. They parted.

     Mal stared helplessly into her mothers eyes, "Mom?" Maleficent grunts, "Do you know how selfish you are?!" she yells "I have done everything to please you and protect you, and this is how you repay me? And to think, we were this close to getting our revenge!" Mal almost began crying, but what ounce of courage she had left began to sprout up, "I used to want to be like you mother...." she started "but, I'm not you! I will never be you! Please don't hurt me or anyone anymore!" Ben held her hand and whispered, "Calm down Mal."

     Belle and Beast were holding onto eachother, fear building up inside of them. Maleficent glared at them villainously, her eyes becoming green. "NO!" Mal screamed "I will not fall for that ever again!" Maleficent's face flushed red, "You dare talk back to me!? I've had just about enough of your rebellious actions! I outa show you how to have a little respect!"

     Maleficent swirled her fingers around the tip of her staff, about to cast a curse. Belle latched onto Adam's arm, Mal held onto Ben's hand and squeezed it tightly, and the four held on, expecting the worse. Maleficent began chanting the words, when suddenly, a flash of purple light attacked her! She screeched, not knowing what was happening. It had only been a split second, before she had disappeared comepletely.

     Uma held a jar and blew across the top, giving herself a pat on the back, "One down!" her voice deepened into a groan "Only seven more to go..." Mal let go of Ben's hand, as well as Belle releasing Beast. "Actually!" said a voice from the distance "Only six to go!" it was Evie and her mother walking towards them. Grimhilde nodded, "Yes. I am now only called by my real name, not the Evil Queen. I wish to no longer be a villain any longer." Belle bopped her head slowly, "We humbly except, and thank you." Grimhilde bows, before removing her crown off her head and placing it upon Evie's, "My princess..." she whispered, before recieving a hug in return. "Okay! Enough mushie stuff! We need to end this madness and find the other villains!"
