Luke stood in front of the mirror with a scowl. He felt pretty hot in what he was wearing, but his desire to go out partying was smaller than his desire to stab himself with a fork. He had begged Calum and Ashton to stay home and watch movies as their graduation celebration, but the two boys were adamant on going to Imogen's for the biggest party of the year. Apparently, everyone was going to be there, Luke's entire school year and probably some plus ones. A house, drunken teenagers and no adult supervision is never a good combination. Teenagers who just graduated made the combination even worse.

The blond took a look in the mirror one last time, running his fingers through his hair before fixing the collar of his flannel and looking at the time. It was ten minutes past the time Ashton said he would be there to pick him up, but Luke assumed dinner had run late with Ashton's mum and siblings. He knew how much Ashton's family meant to him, and in the back of his mind, Luke was hoping Ashton had forgotten about the party all together. But the loud honk that came from downstairs told him otherwise, a sigh escaping his lips as he opened the window and looked down at the silver Toyota Ashton had bought a few weeks back. It was a piece of shit car, but it did the job.

"Get in, loser, we're gonna get shit faced." Calum called from the passenger seat, hands sticking out of the open window and gesturing for Luke to come meet them.

He grumbled as he made his way down the stairs, rolling his eyes and cursing under his breath as he did so. He walked past Ben and Jack in the living room, but gave them no notice as he trudged to the front door. His mother's voice made him stop, turning around to see her frowning up at him.

"Don't think that because you're six foot four and because you just graduated high school that you can leave without saying goodbye."

Luke huffed, but left the front door open nonetheless as he walked over to the small woman and wrapped his arms around her. She hugged him tight, rubbing his back before placing a kiss on his cheek.

"Have fun and text me when you get to Calum's." Liz said quickly, pushing her son out the door before he changed his mind and decided to stay home. She watched as he headed towards the car his best friends were sat in, impatiently waiting for him. She smiled to herself, silently thanking life for having put Calum and Ashton in Luke's life.

"You look smoking." Calum remarked as Luke climbed into the back seat, slamming the door shut behind him.

"I know." The blond nodded, looking out the window as Ashton began the short drive to Imogen's. "You look good too."

"I know." Calum replied softly, letting silence take over them until they were parked in front of the two story house already littered with teenagers and red cups.

"Here we go." Ashton sighed, opening his door.

Luke woke up feeling like he was going to combust. He didn't remember much from last night, nothing after the third shot of tequila he took within ten minutes of being at the party. He had convinced himself that if he was there, he might as well do as Calum and get absolutely hammered. Ashton stuck to simply drinking a cider, as he would have to be the one to drive Luke and Calum back to the Kiwi's house. He could have a good time without the alcohol anyways.

He opened his eyes, trying to ignore the pounding of his head as he looked around his surroundings. He could see all the soccer posters on the wall, indicating that was Calum's room, but unlike his two best friends that were squished together on Calum's bed, trying to both fit in it with arms and legs thrown over each other into a mess of limbs, Luke was sprawled on the floor, face flat against the carpeted floor.

"Fuck." He grumbled, reaching for his phone that was sitting only a few inches away from him.

He hadn't been drunk in months, he hadn't been shit faced ever. He didn't know if the weird feeling in his stomach was hunger or nausea, but he opted against moving in either case. He'd wait until Calum and Ashton woke up before deciding if he should eat or wait until he felt better. In the meantime, he did the only thing he could think of, logging on to Twitter. His feed, as always, consisted only of celebrities and he found it weird that the two update accounts he followed weren't tweeting, but he quickly let it go.

Going into his mentions, however, was a whole different story. There was a new string of insults being thrown at the blond, slut shaming, name calling and much to Luke's surprise, fat shaming. He couldn't remember what he had done the night before, and his heart raced as he clicked on his profile and went through his tweets, seeing he had posted around ten pictures; blurry, drunken, awful pictures of himself. He had tagged Michael on most of them. One that caught his attention was one of himself and another guy he did not recognise. The picture was taken by someone other than Luke, but it was close enough that all you could see was Luke's face as he leaned into the guy, lips brushing against each other's as they smiled. If Luke knew who that was, if it wasn't a blurry drunk picture, it would've actually been cute.

"Oh my god." He groaned, clicking on the next picture to find himself straddling the same guy, this time, on a bed. The angle looked like the unknown boy had taken the picture. Both of them were shirtless, but clothed from the waist down as Luke looked away, cheeks flushed and swollen lips still evident. He could see now why people were fat shaming him due to the rolls on his stomach, but he knew he would never get rid of those.
