*gulp* the Sergeant choked as he was being stared down by the General in the meeting room. In his hands, books were piled on top of each other, each containing transcripts, photographs, and pages of reports. In his mind, he was revising his script over and over and try to calm himself down. After all, persuading his leader was the last obstacle to approving the development of his new weapon of mass destruction that would revolutionize modern warfare as we knew it.
"Go on... I don't have all day."
"Ah yes, sorry sir. I'll start right now" the Sergeant apologized as he started his talk. Everything was going smoothly, that is until a loud laughter silenced the Sergeant. "Ah ha ha ha! that was the funniest thing I heard the whole day! A magical wand? Princess from another dimension?" the General cackled as he repeatedly slammed his fist on the table.
"Sir, I-"
"I think... I think you'll be a great writer when you retire from here, you have such a creative mind" the General commented as he slowly caught his breath and regained his composure. "But seriously, I feel you need to report to the infirmary right now. When you said you wanted to discuss with me something serious, I didn't expect this at all!"
"Sir, this is serious!" the Sergeant was infuriated, he didn't spend a year working on his project just to be scoffed by the General. "I have more than enough evidence to support this. If we somehow managed to acquire the wand, we will be unstoppable!"
Taken aback, the General decided to play along and asked, "Okay, so how do you propose we take this magical wand thing?"
"Right now, we are still keeping our distance and spying on her. However, we do have one agent who has already made friends with her. The plan is to convince the wand holder to give him her wand when they start dating."
"So who's this wand holder and the agent?"
"Ah yes.. that's..."
~Meanwhile at the Diaz household~
"Ughh..." Star muttered to herself as she rolled on the couch, resting on her side as she shifted her gaze between Marco and the clock on the kitchen wall. It had been an unbelievable twenty minutes of nothing in the living room and Star was about to lose it.
*ahem* "Sooo... what do you want to do now, Marco?" Star asked as she stared at Macro who was still reading his book, desperate to do literally anything else.
"Oh right sorry" Marco quickly bookmarked his page and closed his book. Placing the book on the table, he turned to Star and thought for a while, "Well, we have a lot of time until January comes and there's still so many dimensions we haven't visit yet, so why not we start visiting some?"
"Alright! Let's start visiting now! Come on, slowpoke!" Star exclaimed with joy as she leaped from the couch and grabbed Macro by the collar.
For the next few days, they visited dimension after dimension. Some were great, some not quite, like the dimension of cats with human faces. However, one morning, their dimension traveling plans were halted by an unsuccessful attack by Ludo and his army and another one at a Chinese restaurant alleyway. After achieving victory, they celebrated and started heading home.
While waiting at a traffic junction, they were hailed by Oskar. He ran towards them and started waving his hand. Stopping in front of them, he greeted Macro and faced Star, "Hey Star, can I talk to you for a while? It's quite important."
Star nodded and Oskar dragged her away from Marco.
"Okay...so Star, I know this is a little late but..." Oskar blushed and continued, "I have always loved you for a really long time now, and...would you go out with me?"
