Despite the gun being silenced, the shots was not inaudible.

The gunshots echoed through the household, causing Star to jump out of her bed. Star was unfamiliar with the sounds that echoed around her room and quickly grabbed her wand. She crept towards the door and silently opened the door to gain the element of surprise against any monster if necessary.

However, she got an unexpected surprise. Marco was laying on the floor, bleeding from his chest area and some men covered with thick clothing from head to toe were surrounding him. Each one was carrying a long cylinder shaped gadget with different components all over it.

"Hey that's her! She's armed, just open fire! We're dead meat anyways!" one of the men shouted.

All of them quickly pointing their guns at Star.

"Open fire? It looks like it was made to be a weapon. Oh my gosh they must have used it on Marco!" Star thought to herself and frantically rolled behind the wall, narrowly missing the bullets.

Star was astonished, she had never seen that style of fighting anywhere in Mewni. Unsure of how to counter-attack, it took a few minutes and many spells before Star was able to kill or force the soldiers to retreat leaving Star, Marco and his parents alone in the house.

When the area was finally secured, Star turned her attention to Marco. Sadly, he was unresponsive to Star's actions to get him up as he was unconscious. Star kneeled beside him and started to search for the source of bleeding. Star saw that the source came from his stomach and quickly cast a healing spell on Marco's stomach. The bleeding soon stopped and Marco was slowly regaining consciousness.

After Marco came to his senses and reassured Star that he was fine, they headed downstairs to free Marco's parents. Star turned the cable ties into snakes and freed their hands.

The military managed to reorganize the divided squads and sent reinforcements to support them. The soldiers stormed the house and did a sweep of the entire house but failed to find Star or the Diazs anywhere.

"Sir, we searched the entire house twice but they seem to have disappeared without a trace. They must be somewhere in the town!" a soldier spoke to the Sergeant through the walkie-talkie.

"Right, I'll lock down the town. Search every building, alley, street in the town. We need to find them ASAP."

~~~~~~~~Meanwhile in the kingdom of Mewni~~~~~~~~
"This is outrageous!" The king yelled furiously, "We need to teach those people a lesson! We sent you to Earth because we thought it was safer, turns out it's not." The king slammed his fists against the arms of the throne.
 The king calmed down a little and hugged Star. "Sorry for sending you somewhere without double checking. Let's fight fire with fire, we'll send the Royal army to defeat the evil people and you can carry on your training in safety." the King reassured Star.
  "However, we are still mad at you for having Dimensional Scissors. I do not know how you managed to get this. You know you are not to leave Earth, go to the guest room with your host family on Earth and remain there until the battle ends. We will handle this." the Queen said.
"That might not be a good idea..." Marco tried to discourage the them but failed.
"Nonsense! Our army is comprised of the best of our kingdom, each of them spent years of training in hand-to-hand combat."
"Exactly, that's the problem."
"What is?"
"Nevermind" Marco replied. There was no point trying to stop the king as it will take a long time to explain modern warfare. The royal army has a lot of soldiers anyways, strength in numbers, right?
The Royal army mostly made up of knights, they were wearing armor which was of an incredibly durable material, strong enough to withstand every known melee weapon in Mewni - bonus is it is lightweight too. The Archers had bows that fire arrows which burst into flames upon contact with the target, it was really easy to shoot and is very accurate. The cavalry has horses able to withstand any kind of weather and survive without food and water, the men were holding lances pointy enough to stab through 15 fruits, good for making a kebab. The catapults could be loaded very quickly and could store up to 30 balls. All this was possible with magic.
The troops were ready for battle and started to head into the portal to the Earth dimension with the King sneering
"Let's see how well they handle our army!"
Star and Marco wanted to warn her parents about the military's different style of fighting again but before they could say anything, they locked Star and the Diazs in the guest room with the most experienced guards guarding them. The Royal Army charged into the portal, the queen was in the middle using Star's wand for the battle, Star was reluctant but had to give it to the her anyways.
"Damn it Diaz, you could have told them they used "guns" to fire magic earlier!" Star scolded Marco in the guest room.
"It's not magic, its science! Chemistry and all, don't you pay attention in class?"
"Nope. Anyways Chemistry and magic, what's the difference?"
"Nevermind." Marco rolled his eyes.
~Around 3am in Echo Creek~
A portal opened somewhere in downtown. One of the drone operators surveying the town noticed this and reported to the Sergeant.
"Sir, there seems to be an anomaly at Riverside. It appears to be a blue rip in reality... like a portal. It's super bright! Brighter than the street lights! ... I'll circle around until something interestin... hold on. There seems to be people pouring out of it! They're wearing medieval style clothing. There's lots of knights, archers, cavalry and... even the wand! The wand is being used by another lady, she doesn't look like the Star target. She's a lot older, maybe the queen?"
"Right, send some men to contain them." The Sergeant barked.
"Well, this is the second time we are visiting and it looks as dull as ever!" the King commented as his army stormed the streets but it was barren of people as it was 3 am.
A few blocks away, convoys of humvees and tanks formed blockades on the streets preventing the Royal's army advance. The spotlights on the tanks were illuminating the streets as the street lamps weren't bright enough. The spotlights revealed a seemingly endless wave of men coming from the portal. The military evacuated any citizens who were awake and aware of their presence.
"Listen up! Turn back now or get shot! This is your first and last warning!" one of the soldiers with a loudspeaker commanded as the other soldiers got out of the humvees and hunker down behind some temporary barricades.
The Royal army's men laughed, it felt like a empty threat and they pointed their weapons at the military. The Royal Army thought they had the advantage as they severely outnumbered them. But they were going to find out sometimes quality beats quantity.
"Attack!!" The King beckoned his men to charge.
The military braced and prepared to hold the line.
