Eric didnt come back for three days strait. By the fourth day Sally had a nervous brake down. She knew it only took 6 hours on foot for a human to reach Bacau from little wolf as she had patrolled that path for six years. It was five days after Eric seemed to have vanished into thin air and Sally sat in her house with Nichole and two other girls.

"Maybe he just is having a hard time convincing your dad to come out here," a tall girl with red curly hair said.

"Sharrens right," Nichole pointed toward the red head, "maybe your dad thinks its a trick!"

"Or maybe," Sally grumbled, "there was a trap set the whole time and Erics locked up in Sampsons school having who knows what happening to him to get him to talk!"

"What would Eric know that Sampson wants?" Nichole asked.

"The location of little wolf!" Sally barked

"Erics tough," A raven haired girl named Mandy put her hand on Sallys shoulder, "I bet he would have fought those hunters off with no problem!"

Sally smiled, glad for the comfort of the girls, but she still worried for Eric. She remembered the look of the dungeon and what happened to hunters who helped were's and it wasn't nice. Sally was about to bite into her raw pork chop when she jumped out of her chair and onto her feet.

"I have to find him!" She screamed, "Sampson wont get to him and he wont hurt my Eric!"

"Sally no!" Each girl bellowed.

"They'll kill you on the spot if they see you!" Nichole growled.

"You can't Sally," Mandy barked, "you just cant!"

"You cant stop me!" Sally growled and went to shove the girls away so she could leave.

"Well plan A didnt work!" Sharren frowned, "so plan B. We are coming with you if you have to go!"

"Exactly!" Nichole yelled out. Mandy just nodded because she had a huge chunk of raw Squirrel in her mouth.

"NO," Sally shook her head, "I cant let you put yourselves in danger! What if your right, hu? What if he captured Eric just to capture me?!"

"Come torture or death," Mandy, mouth now empty, confirmed, "we will stay by your side Sally. That's what friends do!"

The three girls agreed with Mandy and left to pack their bags. Sally sat staring at the now empty house. On the bed in the corner of the house Sally spotted the quilt her mom had made her. She remembered how hastily Eric had shoved it into the bag Sally had packed so they could get safely out of Bacau. And now Sally was going strait back INTO the place she had barely escaped alive. She remembered Menark saving their rearends and felt ashamed. Sally hadn't looked for Menark in weeks! She hadn't even asked Jonah where Menark was!

Quickly she wrote:

Dear Menark,

If you get this please come to my house out in the back of little wolf. i have many questions that need answering and I don't think Jonah would answer them closely enough. -Sally

Once she finished the note she put it in an old brown paper sack and wrote his name on the bag. Placing the sack on the clip where the werewolves hung messages to each other, Sally went to get the two dresses she had brought with her to little wolf. Her birthday dress lay folded on the bottom of the wardrobe, next to it the ball gown Mrs.. Danshum had given her. The once gorgeous gown had a giant tare down the side where the werewolf had bit her. Blood stains made spots on the gown look brown against the untouched spots.

"I cant bring this one," Sally said to herself, "The villagers will notice it."

Once she put the gold dress back Sally packed her other things and waited for the girls to come.
