Chapter Two

Rose POV:

Well today is the day, the day that R5 announce the competition winner. The winner gets full paid flights to Los Angeles, California, where they will spend a year living with R5. That includes going on tour with them and going to the Austin and Ally set with Ross. It's really a dream come true life experience, that's why I entered. I have always wanted to go to America, especially L.A, but I haven't been able to travel there yet. You see, because I am only 16 I still go to school, meaning I don't have the time to travel, but when I do travel anywhere it's always a 'family holiday'. Like the most recent holiday we had was 3 years ago, when we travelled home to England for a month to catch up and spend time with family. So if I win this it will be he trip of a lifetime.

Over here in New Zealand we are currently 21 hours ahead of L.A time, Riker tweeted saying that they were announcing the winner at 12:00 noon past. it's currently 8:50am and I am at school, but they announce the winner in 10 minutes, so I connected my iPad to the internet on my phone so I can go on Twitter to see the announcement. Although there is a very minimal chance I will win, I am so excited for R5 to announce who is spending the next year with them. They said that they are giving clues to who the winner is individually from youngest to oldest, including Ryland, and the. The final announcement will be from their R5 Twitter account.

@rylandR5: The winner is female.

That cuts the chances down a little bit, but not much. Although R5 have male fans, hey don't have a lot of them.

@ rossR5: The winner is flying internationally.

That only makes this more exciting, because everyone from America, excluding Hawaii and Alaska, have been taken out. That is a lot of people, because the majority of heir fans live in America.

@rockyR5: The winner lives in a country in the Southern Hemisphere.

This is where it gets tricky, because so many people live in the Southern Hemisphere, and I just so happen to be one of those many people.

@rydelR5: The winner is brunette.

That doesn't cut it down very much.

@ratliffR5: The winner is still in school.

That could be anyone, because the majority of R5 fans are still in school.

@rikerR5: The winner lives in a place we have never been before.

R5 have never ever been to New Zealand, but they have also never been to Brazil or Argentina.

@officialR5: As you all know we were only allowed to accept applications for this competition if you were 16 or over.

@officialR5: As promised the winner the winner is Rose Bailey from New Zealand. We will be in contact with Rose within the next 12 hours. Thanks for all he entries guys and a big congrats to Rose!

What it can't be. I won? I really shouldn't have doubted myself. Oh my gosh I actually won! I think it's about time that I tell my parents that I entered this competition, and what this going to mean for me for the next year. This means no more netball, no more school, it means I can spend time with a band (my favourite band) that I have been a fan of for the past 4 years. I wonder whether my friendships will continue while I am away? Most importantly I wonder whether I will get along with R5 or not. I'm really nervous but I am excited as well. Now I get to sit in class all day thinking about my upcoming trip to L.A and meeting my favourite band. I have always been inspired by Riker and Rydel the most, but I obviously love the rest of the band too.

Mum just got home and dad has been home for about 30 minutes now, I am about to tell them about the trip.  I am super nervous because I don't want them to say I can't go. I guess I better tell them sooner or later, only because I have been holding off on telling them about the competition for months now, now that I have actually won the competition I think now is the right time to tell them.
