Chapter 9: Mate Issues

*Drake's Pov*

'Drake, did you by any chance meet and reject your mate?' Snow asks innocently, I am panicking.

Her voice is ringing through my head, she found out. Why is she bringing it up now though? I am pacing back and forth in the storage room.

'N-n-no....' I stuttered, dang it! Clear sign that I am lying, idiot.

'Drake you can't lie to me, I am sitting right in front of her. Now why did you reject her?' Oh god she is? Well they are about the same age aren't they, and now Friday is not going to be pleasant. Why you ask? On her birthday, December the 13th, I promised that every year I would take her to Tubachristmas. This year since her birthday is on a Sunday, I have to stay with her till then because she makes me carry her Tuba. She doesn't play much because of the animals, but takes two days of consecutive practice and warm ups to get ready when the time comes. Back to Snow.

'....... I can explain.......' How am I supposed to exclaim that because she had her arms wrapped around another man and was kissing his cheek that I got mad and rejected her? Simple answer, I can't.

'To make it even more fun, you will explain Friday. Right next to her, CIAO!' With that she cuts off the mind link leaving me to my own thoughts. Well, I am screwed.

*Bell's POV*

After I cut off the mind link and look at Matilda, I let her go into my mind and hear our conversation. She just stares at me with hope in her eyes, and speaks something I thought she would over look.

"How did you do that aren't you human?" Wow way to keep our species a secret.

"Remember that girl you told off a week ago about Ace and she left? That was me. I am using a pill to hide my scent" I state bluntly, hey I may be part cat but I am also a wolf too. Oh and boy she is jealous.

"T-that was you? Oh my God! I am so sorry, you see I am bipolar. My friend and I were fighting on the car ride home, and we couldn't agree on something I don't remember. Jen, my wolf, came out and when she saw you she just needed someone to blow off steam. People think I am a slut, but that's not true. My body relaxes at skin contact, so that is why I kiss people. Stops me from being angry and calms me down, but I would never want to get into their pants. Sorry I am ranting aren't I? And you his mate aren't you, and that explains why you smell human" She was out of breath, as she stopped speaking. Nodding at her question, I look at her again and this time focus on her face, her makeup is everywhere.

"That's perfectly fine, but we need to get you to a bathroom. You are a mess." I pull her hand and get her on her feet. Pulling her to the side door and stop, though nobody should be inside I don't know where to go. Staring at her I motion to the door with my head, staring at me cluelessly until she is dawned with realization.

"OH! Oops my bad, I forgot you are new here. What's your name again?" My name, I forgot to tell her my name. I am an idiot, oh it's no big deal. A random girl walks up, gets into your business, claims to know you mate, then say we are meeting him this Friday for an explanation.

"Snowdrop, but at school my name is Bell. I don't want the Alpha Ace to know I am here. Now lead the way to the girls bathroom!" I sounded like Superman for a sec. She just laughed at me as we made our way into the school, I joined in.

There were not many people in the hallways, just the occasional teacher or staff. Once we reached the bathroom I fixed her makeup and only put on mascara and eyeliner, then asked her to show me to the front office to get my schedule. Walking through the hallways I take a glance at my watch.

Walking into, what I presume is the office, up to a middle age woman with brown hair and silver highlights. I wait for her to look up from her computer, as she does she takes a small but noticeable sniff of me.

"Hi, I am Bell Raindrip. I am new here, I would like to pick up my schedule please." Both the lady at the front desk and Matilda stare at me funny, the downside of having a weird last name. Typing something into the computer, she looks at me handing me some papers.

"Hello dear, I am Mrs. Akita, this here is your locker combination, pin number, map, and schedule enjoy your day."

"Thank you."

We walked out of the office just as a bell rang. School has started.
