Gabe's brothers tried to convince that he should go, Luis was his only blood-sibling after all, but he wasn't having it. Gabe has told his family that Luis was never his real family because they had abandoned him all those years ago.

The day of the funeral, Gabe was still not going. To avoid further discussions with his parents and brothers he had went to Alex's the day before and stayed overnight.

"Do you feel bad for Gabe?" Cole asked, looking at Dalton in the reflection of the mirror while fixing his tie.

"I guess, I don't know. He's 17 and graduating this year." Dalton shrugged, sighing a bit while fixing his guyliner.

The door of the two's shared bathroom burst open with Will clambering inside. He looked like he had just been crying but that was probably the case. He took a deep breath while looking at his brother's outfits quickly. Cole was wearing a black suit with a white undershirt and red tie. Dalton was wearing a short-sleeved black button-up and black jeans, a chain was hooked to the belt loops. Will himself was wearing a black t-shirt and black pants, along with a black beanie.

"Take off the chain, mom's gonna yell at you." Will finally said after a few minutes of silence. "We're leaving soon."

Dalton reluctantly removed the chain on his pants and the two followed Will upstairs to the rest of their family. Dana was wearing a suit and was, surprisingly, hatless. David was wearing a long-sleeve shirt and black jeans. Their mom and dad both in very formal, black clothing.

The family got into the van and drove off to the funeral home. When they got there, Gabe's real mom greeted them. They stayed for the speeches and mourned with Luis' family and friends. Though they stood out from the rest of the family they seemed to fit right in. David had even talked about how Luis had been like an older brother to all of them, even though they only saw each other about five times a year, twenty at most.

David drove everyone home after the funeral service because their parents had somewhere else to go. David, Cole and Dalton all went downstairs once they got home to play video games, to get their mind off of Luis' death. Dana was going out with Angela and left soon after. Will went to his room to read a book but heard something coming from Gabe's room on the way.

"Gabe?" Will knocked and entered, not waiting for permission.

There he found his oldest brother crying on his bed, he was holding a picture of he and his family.

"You know, I never thought any of them would die so soon." Gabe sniffed but never looked up from the picture. "I never thought I'd need an older brother until now."

"They didn't try to leave you Gabe. They were poor back then. You, came unexpectedly." Will said, blinking tears from his eyes

"Sorry, fuck. I forgot I don't have it the worst. You don't even know your parents or whether or not they're alive." Gabe said, finally looking up. He patted a spot on his bed. "C'mere bro."

Will obeyed and sat next to his brother, staring at the picture he had. It was of Luis, Gabe's mom and Gabe's dad. It was when they had reunited for the first time. Gabe had been seven at the time, when only he and Cole were Pendery children. Will loved looking at photos of his brothers' biological families. Even Cole's.

A photo of Cole's late older sister was on a mantle above the fireplace. She was pretty, would've been about twenty-three if she was alive today. She had died a week after Cole was born, she had a serious allergic reaction to a certain drink that was spiked and died. Nobody in the Pendery family drank much because of that.

Dana never had any biological siblings because his mom had died giving birth to him. His dad had been so overtaken with grief that he knew it wouldn't be safe for Dana with him so he sent him to one of the orphanages. Dana's dad sometimes took the time to check up on him but that was a rare event.

Dalton's parents had died in a car crash. His older sister had committed suicide because of that. That left he and his younger sister at an orphanage. They were adopted by different families and saw each other from time to time. From what the others knew about her, she was really amazing and nice.

David's biological family had died when he was young so David went into the fostering system. Whether it was from abusive foster families, too many children or David making trouble, he ended up going from house to house until they got fed up with him changing foster homes so much that they dumped him in an orphanage, which was when the Penderys felt something was missing in their lives.

Gabe's family used to be very poor. He was born right when they started losing money. They couldn't afford to take care of another person. Well, they actually didn't abandon him at first, they had left him for care at his uncle's, but his uncle was shot five years years into Gabe's life. Which his family didn't know about. That's when the biological Penderys found him.

Will never knew his parents. He had heard stories about how they died, but he also heard stories about how they went to a different country without him. So now, he didn't know what happened to them at all.

"I'm sorry." Will mumbled, sleepily.

"It's okay." Gabe said, wiping away his tears with his shirt sleeve.

"When you move into your own house are you going to visit? Everyday?" Will asked suddenly

"Of course, everyday. Maybe I'll bring you home a girlfriend one time." Gabe teased, knowing full well of what his brother would say.

"Gross no! Dating is ew! Much less a girl!" Will shot up and stuck out his tongue

"Calm yourself. Vaginas aren't that bad." Gabe rolled his eyes when Will gasped.

"You can't say that! That's a bad word!" Will screamed

"Vaaaaagiiiiiiiinnaaaaaaaa." Gabe stretched out.

"Stop! You're evil!" Will covered his ears.

"Vagina! Penis! Seeeeeeeex." Gabe said, trying not to laugh.

"Cole!!!! David!!!! Gabe is saying bad words!!!!!" Will screamed, running out of Gabe's room.

"SO I CAN'T SAY PENIS BUT DAVID CAN SAY FUCK, BITCH AND SHIT!" Gabe yelled out behind Will before falling over and laughing, forgetting about how sad he was a couple minutes ago.

A/N

It was getting too depressing so I wanted to put the ending there.

Nice end to a depressing chapter if I do say so myself.

I also made that joke because in class everyone was laughing because my teacher was like:

"Use the correct terms! A doctor isn't gonna say, can I check out your wiener or tweety bird."

That was a fun class
