Family (IM5/David Scarzone/Will Jay/Dalton Rapattoni Fic) [ON HIATUS]

Chapter Six- Problems Begin

Cole and Dalton waved Alex goodbye as she drove off. Then the two were about to enter their house, except Will wasn't following. Cole was about to say something but Dalton stopped him and shook his head, tugging him inside. Dalton understood that Will needed his space. Especially since it was basically still summer and the younger was wearing what only Connie would dare to without fear of burning up.

Will sighed as he heard the front door shut closed. He didn't want to show his family what had happened to him, especially since almost all of them were a little too overprotective. So he waited a couple minutes before opening the door himself.

He paused as he saw Gabe on the couch, not facing him. He gulped a little and slowly turned towards his room. He hoped his brother wouldn't catch him. Unfortunately, hoping wasn't enough.

"Stop and come here William." The elder said, mid-step.

The Asian boy squeezed his eyes closed for a second and bit his lip. He was definitely going to get it. His family only called him by his full name if they were teasing or if they were seriously mad or concerned. Or if they were looking for him but that's rare. Plus, Gabe wasn't one to tease.

"Mhm?" Will mumbled, muffled due to the turtleneck.

Gabe glanced at him for a quick moment, turning his back immediately. The hispanic frowned, shaking his head before mumbling quick instructions.

"Take off the sunglasses and turtleneck William. I don't even know why you're wearing that, Con's at least three inches shorter than you." Gabe said.

Will was shaking now. He slowly put his hands up to fumble with the zipper. He pulled it down and pushed the shirt up over his head. That knocked his sunglasses off. The younger started to bend down to get them but Gabe had glanced at his appearance before he got the chance.

The elder shot up off the couch like a rocket and held Will's face in his hands. He examined it while Will awkwardly avoided eye contact.

"William, who did this to you?" Gabe said slowly, holding back his anger for his brother. "You'd better tell me the truth William."

"I-I, these guys at school. I don't, I don't know their names but-" tears were streaming down Will's face. He had a nasty black eye and his lip was clearly busted. There were also bruises down his arms.

"It was Pierce, Leo and their crew." A voice growled from the door. David had gotten back from clearing his head and dropped his bag on the floor. Then he turned away and went to his and Dana's shared room.

"David!" Gabe shouted at the boy but he didn't listen, Gabe sneered but remembered the other problem at hand. "William, go Cole and Dalton's room. Then call Connie and Grayson, they were worried sick."

Will nodded and sighed. He then headed downstairs where his older brothers were waiting.

Gabe went to follow David after a couple minutes of calming himself down before things got worse. He opened the door carefully and slowly. Dana wasn't in there since he had went out with his parents to grocery shop.

"David? Will needs you right now." Gabe said, entering the room.

"Oh really? You don't seem to think that bro." David huffed and went to push Gabe out.

"David! What's gotten into you!?"

"Fuck off! I don't need this in my life, I don't need you in my life, so just fuck off!" David shouted successfully closing his door on Gabe and locking it before the eldest could ever try to get back in.

"This family is messed up." Gabe mumbled to himself.

"Mom, dad?" Dana gulped nervously at the ride home.

"Yes, what is it Dana?" His mom answered, meeting his eyes in the rear view mirror.

Dana took a deep breath. He didn't know why he was feeling so nervous to tell them about what happened today. I mean, Cole and Will came out as gay and Gabe's had a girlfriend since he was ten when they admitted to their young love. So why was it so hard to tell his parents that he had made-out with his best friend in the entire world?

Dana tried to make the words come out of his mouth but he just couldn't do it. So he wet his drying lips and spoke again.

"Can we get ice cream?" He asked, chickening out

His mother turned back to look at him, confused, but nodded when Dana faked a look of hopefulness. In all honestly he couldn't give two beaver dams whether or not he got a cold treat.

He would have to try to tell someone he would've trusted better. Like Will or Cole, David maybe. He would have to explain to family first, or he'd just feel conflicted and guilty.

Dana was honestly confused about the entire thing.

"Dalton! You're full of crap! You know that?!" Cole yelled, in a furious blindness he swung his arms back and almost punched Dalton straight in the face. "We just missed one of gang's meet-ups because you never told me about it!"

"Well I'm sorry, I thought our missing brother was more of a freaking concern!" Dalton yelled back.

"What if he showed up before he had previously!? Huh? Besides we would've made it anyways since he did show up!"

"Would you guys stop talking as if I'm not in the room?" Their younger brother said, frowning and holding an ice pack to his eye, he was currently watching the television.

"SHUT UP WILL!" The two older boys yelled and went back to their argument.

"Every. Single. Time." Will had rolled his eyes.

What the boys hadn't noticed was that Gabe had come back downstairs and saw the two fighting, for the fifth time that week,  while his baby bro was flopped on the couch and acting as if nothing was happening.

"This is why I want to move out." Gabe groaned and walked back upstairs in hope of forgetting about his crazy family by watching tv upstairs.
