Chapter 1
My foster parents, Michael and Linda, decided that I should go to school. They think it would be better for me and for them. Also it will help me make friends, but I disagree.
"I don't want to go to school. I want to stay here and keep being home schooled." I said.
"Isabelle, you know how we are with math. Michael and I just can't do it. Besides--
I cut her off. "It will help me make new friends. I know but..."
Linda raised her eye brow. “‘but' what?" You have to do this, end of conversation."
"Ok." I said quietly as looking at my feet.
"Good you start next week. Now run of to bed. It's late."
I said good night and went off to bed. As I was in bed, what Linda said echoed in my mind "You start next week."
