Thunder screamed through out the sky causing waves to crash hard against the sand. A storm was brewing, and it was her fault. Everything was her fault, it always is. He died because of her.
Beyond the horizon rocks and cliffs surfaced, almost similar to the Grand Canyon. A girl stood upon the biggest rock, a glowing golden trident burning into her skin, with green eyes that could send daggers through your spine. The type of eyes and sideways grin you'd find on a murderer. The glow from the trident made her light brown skin a bit lighter. Water smashed hard against the rocks, spraying onto the girl nearly knocking her over. What was once beautiful chestnut brown curles is now straight black hair that clung to her dampened face. The rain poured hard on top of the girl, but she didn't care, the evil must be taken care of. This wasn't like the other quests she went on, this one was personal.
No mercy for the wicked... She thought as she raised the glowing trident toward the wicked serpent.
"Any last words, Julia?" The serpent,Lamia, said with a grin as she sat on a throne made from the darkest of rocks that grew from the bottom of the ocean. Lamia had a mix of dark red, black, and orange scales from her waist down, with the upper body of a beautiful white woman with auburn hair. The beautiful face you'd expect such a serpent to have was disfigured, besides blue eyes, she had empty sockets.
"I hope you suffer in the fields of punishment, you piece of shsist!" Julia spat. Though, Lamia took her anger as entertainment.
"Do you really think the Gods care about you?" Lamia threw her head back in laughter. "They are using you, dear, and you're too naive to see it!" she said before grinning. "You'll never be strong like your brother."
"I don't have to be, I just have to be stronger than you!" The girl said harshly, ignoring the aching pain of memories of her brother's death. This was the end. The fight of life and death, the battle of all battles: mortal vs. immortal.
