“No. Only if you accept my proposal,” Silas said with a grin. It did wonders for his new form.

“Keep talking,” I said, unable to keep the smile off my face.

“I need a witch on my side for this forthcoming war...”

I froze. I had told no one of my witch powers. Not one being on this present planet knew about them apart from the Bennet Witches and Parker. Did he know? He couldn’t know. I knew enough not to tell the creator of all immortals by unusual trait.

He continued, “Do you know any?”

I did a miniature sigh. He did not know of my witch form. So I did the next best thing.

“There’s an abundance of Bennet Witches that would surely be at your disposal. Even witches in New Orleans. Is that all you cam to ask from me. I feel offended Si,” I said back, a smile in my voice while my arms were crossed around my chest, tense.

Silas stepped closer, shaking his head and losing his smile, “No, not completely. I was wondering if you would like to accompany me on this journey, Miss Chaos?”

Accompany him? In going back to Mystic Falls? But I had business here. Well at least I thought I did.

“I will side with you Silas, but sadly, I cannot accompany you on this journey. I have other duties to clarify, and then I’ll ponder on your proposal.”

Silas was no longer smiling, but he didn’t look extremely mad. That was a good thing right? “Is this your definite answer?”

“Yes,” I said hesitantly. “Mystic falls is way beyond my power, but for yours, I guess it can be exact.”

“Please reconsider,” Silas said, a frown line framing his mouth. “In the mean time. It is goodbye Charletta. Whatever fool has broken your heart and allowed you to be trapped here, won’t understand what he has lost.”

And so I stared at him as he left through the door. My best friend. But all I could think was:

How the hell did he know?
