The door blew out.
I covered my face with my arms like some child who was afraid of being hit. What was happening to me was so much worse. The metallic grip latched around my wrist as I promised myself I would never scream out loud. I would just take what was going to happen.
Because I could do nothing about it.
I had no one on my side.
Something sharp dug into my hand and I lied to myself, because all I could do was scream strangled cries as pain shot through me reaching every part of my body. In a second, I was thrown across the hall in the lockers. The worst thing was that I could hear my bones completely shatter and warm liquid spill over me from the wounds that were created. Wounds that didn’t show any sign of healing.
I hit the floor with a thud.
“You think a slab of wood could protect you from my wrath? I thought age would make you wiser, but you’ve just become weak,” He spoke. His voice was thunder. It boomed through the hallway, hitting the locker walls back and forth.
I choked back every tear and whimper that was daring to escape.
There was one thing Katherine and I had in common. We both didn’t want to die. She did everything to run away from Klaus because she knew if she ran hard enough she could escape him for a while. But death with Tridan on your tail was so finite.
I didn’t even live.
“Please,” I whimpered, “I have nothing to possibly give you.”
I could see his feet from the fetal position I lay on the floor. They were covered in black boots and they were heading back towards me.
I closed my eyes.
“No,” he said, “You death gives everything.” His hands latched onto my hair and I was lifted up into the air and thrown with all his force back onto the concrete slab of cement.
I don’t remember breathing after that.
