Chapter Fifteen : Quirky

"Mommy , are we going to see Bracen today?" Brione inquires as she stuff a spoonful of cereal in her mouth .

"Yes , my darling." I tossed a towel that I was folding onto her head . She started laughing .

"Ba'Mier where are you my son!?" I yelled in a fake British accent .

"Right chea." He runs into the kitchen and stood next to me .

I shook my head at him as I laughed at him .

"Give these towels to your dad love." I demanded . He grabbed the towels then ran into the hallway .

"Are you going to work today?" Brione asks .

"No ma'am." She started drinking the milk from her bowl .

"I'm done." She said as she licked her lips . I giggled then picked her bowl up and sat it in the sink .

"Go get ready so we can go." I told her . She skipped to the back and I could hear her tell Ba'Mier what I said .

I looked around the kitchen for anything that needed to be straighten up . My phone started ringing from the counter . I went to answer it and noticed the number was unknown .

"Hello?" I picked up .

"Brooklyn." I sighed and regretted answering the phone . I knew exactly who it was .

"Yes Jamian?"

"Where are you? I miss you." He said sincerely .

"I'm busy Jamian." I blew some air .

"Can't be too busy and you answered your phone." He lightly chuckles . I held a straight face .

"I have to go." I said trying to get off the phone .

"Wait Brooklyn! Please meet me tonight."

"I can't Jamian." I started to get frustrated .

"Please we need to talk." He begged .

"I said no." I nearly yelled . Marion walked into the kitchen then kissed me on my cheek . He went to the refrigerator and started scanning through it .

"Please Brooklyn." I hung up .

"Who was that?" Marion stood next to me and leaned on the counter while eating an apple .

"Nobody." I weakly smiled .

He looked me over and knew that I was lying but decided not to pressure me to answering him .

"Let's go muppets!" He yelled for the twins .

"Don't call them that." I mugged him . He snickered then kissed me .

My phone started to ring again . I thought it was Jamian so I ignored it .

"You're not going to get that?" He pointed to my phone .

"Nurp." I popped the p . He squinted his eyes then went to get his car keys .

"Ooh . I'm working all day Friday." The kids came and stood next to him .

I pouted . "Really? So Imma be alone?"

"No work?" He asks .

"No I'm working from home so I can spend more time with you guys." I sighed . "Go get your coat little boy." I told Ba'Mier . He ran into the back as Marion came and wrapped his arms around my waist.

"I'm sorry baby." He peck my lips .

"Whatever." I said against his lips . That made him smile .
