Matthew's POV
Let me start by saying that I love weekends. For two days, you don't have to really worry about anything.
You could just sit back, relax, and do whatever you feel like doing. That's why everybody hates Monday's so much.
Monday's take away that great feel of freedom that the weekend gives you. For the rest on Friday afternoon, I got nothing productive done. I had all my plans for tomorrow.
Saturday morning I woke up feeling fresh. After eating breakfast Noah and I decided to Skype.
"Matthew! How are you dude?!" Noah asked enthusiastically. "Good so far, how's everything back home?" I wanted to know.
"Not gonna lie, it's been pretty boring since you left. Oh! Got some news though! Mason and Sadie are dating!"
Sadie and Mason? That was the craziest couple to be put together. Mason liked school and reading, while Sadie like skateboarding and loud music.
"For real? That amazing! Weird. But amazing! You'll have to tell everyone that I said 'Hi.'"
"Why not just tell them yourself?" Noah hinted, as he moved out of the way to reveal everyone.
My eyes lit up with joy as all my friends waved at me and smiled.
We talked for an hour before I decided to end the call. My phone buzzed with messages not even a minute later.
Blake- Hey man! Group message is a go.
Jake-I still think that we need a code name in case we need to talk and others are there
Me-Hey. And I agree with Jake, and if not a group name, possibly a code word.
Blake-Alright, so group name. What should it be?
Jake-How about "Jake and the others"?
Me-I really do hope that you are not serious.
Blake-I'm afraid that he's not....
Jake-What's wrong with that name?
Blake-Everything.
Me-Any ideas Blake?
Blake-What about something kinda like "The Awakened" or "Silence isn't Golden" or "Secret Pursuers" You guys can stop me whenever, I'm just spitting out ideas here.
Jake-I still think that "Jake" is the better name here.
Me-What happened to "and the others" part?
Jake-Yah, well I feel as if we got rid of that, the name would sound better. And look at it! It does!
Me-I honestly think that Blake is the one with the better ideas....
Jake-Fine then! Take one of the lame group names! I don't care!
Blake-They may be lame, but at least they're not all about me!
