Chapter 2
Tonight, I Will Have Fun
The next day at school, I walked with Elena. She was such a down-to-earth kind of girl. I saw myself becoming close friends with her. She was telling me about Mystic Falls. “Well, first of all, nothing’s a secret here.” She gave me grin, but the look in her eyes told me otherwise. “Everybody may seem like they don’t know, but there’s a high chance that they do.” She and I stopped at her locker. The weather today was really muggy. This place was so…dark and rainy, so far. “Oh really?” I asked, worried that something about me could be spreading like wildfire around town, this very moment. “Oh yeah,” She opened her locker and switched her books. “There’s always the occasional time where something you want secret, actually stays a secret.” She closed her locker, when a boy appeared behind her. She giggled as he kissed her cheek. I stood by, awkward.
"Aria, this is Stefan." she introduced this handsome boy to me. He had gorgeous eyes, a nice figure, and a sincere smile. He seemed like a nice guy. I smiled at him, knowing he and I would get along. "Uh, hi, Stefan." We shook hands, his were large and secure; though, they were surprisingly chilled. Its texture sent perfect memories to my mind. "Nice to meet you, Aria." he greeted me with a smile. I released his hand and looked down at my outfit, feeling self-conscious. My black combat boots- the worn out ones- suddenly looked like an insult. I began to play with a loose string on my shirt, as the silence extended. Elena sighed and smiled at the both of us.
"Aria, would you like to come over to my house for dinner this Friday night?" Elena asked, a genuine smile plastered on her face. "I'll bring my friends and introduce you to them all." she smiled convincingly. My choice was easily made. I could have spent my dinner re-heating it, to eat it alone in an empty room, enduring the silence of my brother and mother; or I could go to a friend's house and meet new people. "Sure." I answered, the decision being a no-brainer. Besides, maybe my mom needs space…, but from me.
Elena, Stefan and I parted, saying our farewells, promising to meet at lunch. I was walking to Chemistry, when I passed my English classroom. I stared through the door window, at the desk. It was empty, filled with messy papers, and a McDonald's Happy Meal box was opened. I sighed, then realized, I was hallucinating. Inside was an organized desk, a pair of glasses, and a French woman. Ironic, isn't it? A French woman teaching English. Ms. Moreau.
I continued walking towards my homeroom class, realizing today might not be such a pain in the ass. After all, my new life here was exactly that- new. It was my chance for new beginnings, something I actually needed.
Damon's Point of View
I kissed her roughly, sending shivers down her spine. I made her feel emotions so strong and passionate. I always made sure to make my victims feel a blissful happiness. The one they couldn’t bare to part with. I began to become impatient, so I began to trail kisses down her fragile neck. She moaned lightly, loving where I was heading.
I smiled against her skin, my face changing. I bit into her neck more roughly than necessary. She wailed awfully loud. She tried pushing me off of her, me draining her of blood. "HELP!" she shrieked. I backed away, furious and upset. I hated when they became so dramatic; sure I was pretty much feasting on them, but seriously, have some class. "Shut up." I said to her, compelling her with all my might. She shut her mouth, as if someone zipped it closed. Her blood dripped down my mouth and fell onto her lavender sweater. I looked around, we were inside my room.
