As a wolf among
The night, steal my heart
As I steal away from sight,
Distant once more.Feverish eyes hollow with fear,
Echoing down my spine and
Sprinting from my neck,
Eager for escape.Blackened tongues burn
Harsh at his ears, granting
Old men new desires,
Feeding lost man's fires.Disgusting as this all is
I seek for it's sickening clasp,
Beating at my ribcage as
A last chance fades fast.Sweetened artificially as
To disguise your twisted visage,
No! Your hatred outlasts that
Which you use to smother it
Caramel candy coated sickness. But I, still raw
Will drag you from your sanctuary
Of lies and poison and nurture you still.
Though deserving of it not you still remain,
A women's joy a man's pain.Sadism yes I know it's cold and brutal
Mental and tiresome and perhaps even tedious
But you do as I do when I witness every
Waking moment now and ever.Never resting we both venture as you
Bleed more blood than there is
To be bled, as ever I cower and coo
And call to you as loyal as the wolf
That howls through the night,
Still of bones and blind of sight.Author's notes: this poem is best read aloud, especially noting the punctuation. Reading my poems like this is often the key to figuring out the meaning. This poem was formerly in my poetry book now for SWT poetry only.
