By Every Shadow

By every shadow;

There lurks a bloody killer.

No, let me start over.

By every shadow,

Lays a waiting predator.

Bear with me now.

By every shadow,

Hungers a vicious canine.

Okay, okay, I'll try again!

By every shadow,

Guards a snarling beast.

Hmm... No, actually, again.

By every shadow,

Sits a ravenous lupine.

Truth be told.

There, under the grand oak, you see?

Under the great oak's canopy,

Laid out in the shadows,

Is one of Earth's creatures.

Curious it is now; it's raising it's head!

Come here, lonely wolf, and be fed.

An Earthly child, as am I,

Has come forth not to growl, or pry.

As stereotype shadows her form,

She leaves us now,

To wilderness unexplored.
