"[Name], have you decided?"

The room remained silent, only the sound of her heart interrupted her thoughts. She had to quickly compare both options and choose whichever made more sense - whichever would benefit her more.

No. Whichever would benefit Sebastian, she pinpointed with a nod. It didn't take her long to decide; one of those options would at least grant her the chance to watch over him for the price of being unreachable.

She stood from the ground, straightening her posture to stare directly up above and relaxed her fear with a sigh.

"I have decided."

The room discretely made sounds of relief and before she could sound out the option she chose, a dark chuckle filled the atmosphere.

"I know what you have chosen, and it's a wise choice. Thus, to prove your commitment..." The voice paused as a sudden gust of wind caught her eye from below. She took a step back and tilted her head. Facing upside-down at her feet was a single sheet of paper and a pair of brand-new pruning saws.

"...you will be given a test."

Confused, she knelt to pick it up the pair of gardening tools first. Brushing the tips of her fingers along the teeth, she flinched when a muffled chuckle caused her to turn her head and saw Undertaker's shoulders shaking with the laugh he struggled to fight back.

"A test?" she whispered, turning back around to pick up the sheet of paper and began turning it...

"HAHAHA!!!" Escorts immediately ran towards Undertaker as his maniacal laughter escaped his lips. Within a short moment, he was promptly removed from the room, yet his laughter still echoed the place.

She furrowed her brows in concern and glanced at William, only to see him sweeping his hand as a gesture to let her continue. Nodding once, she stared into the instructions of the innocent piece of paper...and dropped the paper until it hit the ground. She looked up, gazing at every person in the room with teary eyes, soon trailing tears down her cheeks.

"...No," she croaked shakily, now throwing the pruning saws aside. "I can't-- please! Anything but this, please!"

The room murmured to themselves, causing a slight commotion, until the gavel banged against the polished wood to gather court order. The silence returned immediately but she continued to sob while Undertaker's laughter continued to echo the halls of the Grim Reaper Dispatch.

"Case is closed and there is no turning back. [Name], your test begins now."

The night matched Sebastian's feelings: angry and anxious. The skies stormed along with sharp lighting and desperate rain poured the city as Sebastian yelled out her name constantly.

He pushed the limits for a while now as he sprinted through the town, drenched from head to toe, searching for her in the madness of the night. He ran against crowds who escaped the rain under umbrellas, cautiously maneuvering himself through the streets; he relied on his memory of where this thief might've gone after stealing her away.

"[Name]!" His voice cut through the rain as her name kept on being called out. But the longer he fought against the rain, the faster he tired out to the point of losing his sense of direction. Many times he had to stop and catch his breath while scoping the area to reel in his memory again.

His hand pressed against a nearby wall to avoid falling from exhaustion and pressed his back against it when his breathing turned ragged.

I can't take it.
