"Pick up the fork for your salad."
I grabbed the fork I remembered. Cam nodded in approval.
"Now, your dessert spoon."
Hesitantly, I picked up one of the spoons. Cam nodded again and I let out a deep breath. I had passed yet another test.
Her phone started ringing, "Good job. I need to step outside and take this."
We had spent the entire day before going over the do's and don'ts of living in the Castle. I picked up everything exceptionally well but I knew I would still stand out. The Royals were raised to be better than everyone else.
I was taking a 48 hour crash course in it.
Cam told me not worry. They had to accept me. The King of the Eastern Territory was more than pleased with my coming, apparently. A friend of Cam who also worked for the Royals told her that the King was worried about the Prince and believed a "pretty lass" may be exactly what he needed.
I knew being pissed would do nothing so when Cam told me I merely nodded. Hopefully all the Prince wants is someone to talk to. Surely he had women lined around the castle gates for him. Girls far prettier and interesting than me. I was a complete trouble maker and honestly a bitch at times. For the sake of our two territories though, I'd try to pretend I wasn't.
"Thank you, Tim. Bye," Cam said into her phone as she walked back towards me.
"I've got good need and bad news, A," she said as she sat down across from me at the table.
"Bad news first of course."
"I don't have anymore time to train you," she frowned.
"Why not?"
"That was one of the King's people. There's a ball tonight that was originally supposed to be for tommorow. King James thinks it'll be the perfect time for you to make your introduction. We're switching from this bus to a jet so you can be there within 2 hours."
I exploded. "2 hours? I'm nowhere near ready to meet them - let alone attend a fucking ball. Oh my G-"
Cam reached across the table and grabbed my hand. "Avery, it'll be fine. Trust me. It's Friday, which means the Royals are out in the different cities meeting people."
"What does that mean?" I raised an eyebrow.
"That means when you arrive no one will be there. You can quietly enter and get settled. The first time any of them will lay an eye on you will be after you're all dolled up, not fresh off of a 30 hour journey."
I nodded. She had a point.
She let go of my hand and picked up her phone, "I need to make sure everything is ready. One if the guards, Felix, has a phone. You can make a call to your family before we get to the airport."
"Okay," I stood and walked out of the small section of the bus, leaving Cam to do whatever she needed to do.
"Felix," I tapped his shoulder. He and another guard were playing checkers.
He looked up, "Yes Ms. Rose?"
"Can I see your phone? Cam said I could make a phone call."
He pulled his phone out of his pocket and handed it to me. I thanked him and made it into my room. I sat down on my bed and dialed my parents. There was no answer.
I bit on my nail, about to redial them, when I realized I could finally talk to Liam. I dialed his number and he answered on the first ring.
"Liam Payne's phone."

Fiksi PenggemarI took a deep breath. "Okay, let me get this right. In order to get the Eastern Territory to sign a treaty with us, you plan on giving Prince Niall a girl, as a peace offering. And you want me to be this girl?" King Aaron nodded. "Precisely." "What...
