When Two Hearts Collide

She’s never on time, even when she tells you that she will be.

But you don’t mind, you still tell her she looks pretty.

Her bad manners and bad attitude don’t make you sway,

They just don’t matter; to you she’s perfect in every way.

Behind your back she tells me what she really thinks,

“He’s boring and annoying and he doesn’t even drink.”

Your messages of love are words she’ll never understand,

“I love you and I miss you...” She won’t even hold your hand.

Her, with her vain looks and half-truths. Why can’t you see she is insecure?

The way she gossips when you’re not near. It’s just so immature…

Her false laughter is still ringing in my ears,

Everywhere I look I can see her secret sneers.

She’s laughing at you crying, and she doesn’t even care.

I’ll lay awake at night and dream of us together, somewhere.

Won’t you let me be the one to wipe your tears away?

If you just take a chance on me I promise you, I’ll stay.

You won’t even notice all the promises she breaks,

Something I doubt she will ever learn to appreciate.

I see in your eyes, the hurt feelings you’re try to hide.

This isn’t how it should be, when two hearts collide.

You count each minute of the time spent apart,

Can’t you see that she’ll break your heart?

She’ll never know how lucky she is.
