- Thomas x Reader -Scorch Trials

Newbies

"I'm Newt. This goof here is Minho, this ugly shank is Thomas, this is Frypan and this guy here is Winston." The blonde spoke, introducing his friends to me with a hinted British accent.
"Oh, well hi guys...my name is y/n, and the maze I came from well...everyone else is gone except for me and..." I point to my friend Aris who looks up at me with a smile before looking back down.
"Aris." I say happily and they look over at him awkwardly.
"Huh...seems...uh..yeah" Minho says and I laugh.
"He's not as weird as he seems, just give him time. We've been here like almost a week y'know...everyone else has arrived in the last two days or so..." I say with a sigh.

"Attention! Everyone can I get your attention please!" Jansen calls out, walking in with his clipboard. I roll my eyes and glare at him.
He rattled off a list of about six names, kids walking up while being cheered by their friends.
If only they knew they were cheering their friends to possible death...

"Where do they take them?" Thomas whispers and I turn to face him.
"They'll tell you it's a safe haven, a paradise. It's not. You'll see." I reply.
Thomas looks troubled and I smile sympathetically before walking back over to Aris.

"Who are they?" He asks, looking up at me as I sit down.
"Oh well...the blonde one, that's Newt. And beside him, the cute one, that's Thomas. Next to Thomas is Minho and opposite them are Frypan and Winston." I reply, pointing to them as I point them out.
"Well it looks like the Thomas one wants answers" he says motioning to him and I look over quickly.
Thomas stands up and starts walking.
What the shuck is he doing?!
I watch, mouth agape, as he runs over to the window where a girl walks past.
"TERESA!! TERESA!!" He shouts at her, following along the window before walking over to the door.

"You can't come in here kid" the guard says and he tries to reason.
"Please I just...I need to see my friend, just a few minutes!" He pleads and the guard just shakes his head.
Thomas sighs and walks back over to the group, plonking down in the seat once more.

"Alright, back to your rooms. All of you. C'mon now" Jansen instructs and we all leave. I watch the boys being lead to their room, checking which one it is so Aris and I can find them.

"Y/n....I think we need to show Thomas the thing." Aris says, sitting on his bunk.
"Are you sure?..." I ask, pausing halfway up the ladder to look at him.
He nods and I nod back.
Tonight, we give Thomas the insight.
I have a feeling he's a rule breaker, a fighter or rebel if you will.
I guess we'll find out.
