3 MONTHS LATER…

Wedding, wedding, wedding. That’s all that seemed to talked about these last few months and to be honest I needed a break. Also on top of that I have to go to the doctors for my annual check up to make sure I am healthy and all that nonsense. Anyone who knows me knows I hate the doctor, I instantly get nervous and clam up when I enter those extremely clean walls and smell that familiar doctor’s office smell. I shudder at the thought of it. And on top it all off Nathan has been extremely cranky the last few weeks, he’s comes home tired and when I try to talk to him he shuts me out, I don’t know what’s going on with him.

I had just woken up and once again I woke up alone… like usual. I know he would be here if he could but it’s still frustrating. It doesn’t help that lately my moods have been everywhere so everything Nathan does irritates the crap out of me and vice versa. Once I went into the kitchen to get a glass of water I went straight for the shower to wake up. I had my doctor’s appointment in an hour, like why are doctor appointments made at like 8 in the morning, it should be illegal. Once I was out of the shower I finished getting ready and I made myself some breakfast and for once this week I was actually hungry. I practically inhaled my food as I was starving and I was in a major time crunch.

“Time to go time to go!” I yelled as I ran out of the flat. Kev was waiting down stairs for me and kindly offered to bring me to the doctors which I was very thankful for.

“Morning Kev!” I greeted him as I got into the car.

“Morning Brittany. How are you?” he said.

“Ok a little nervous. I don’t like doctors.” I said.

“I’m sure everything will be ok.” He said trying to comfort me. I just shrugged my shoulders. The rest of the car ride was pretty silent the whole way there, once we arrived I said my thanks you and he told me he’ll be waiting for me. I walked in and as soon as I did my stomach started to cartwheels, It smelled way too clean in here and it hit me like a ton of bricks.

“Oh dear lord.” I said as I walked up to the front desk to check in. I was greeted by an overly chipper lady for it being only 8.

“Welcome how can I help you?” she said.

“Hi I’m here to see Dr. Lewis.” I said.

“Alrighty! Your name please?” she said.

“Brittany Syk-- Williams.” I said I almost forgot I wasn’t supposed to let anyone know that Nathan and I were married.

“Alright let me check here real quick.” She said and looked at her computer screen for a moment.

“Ok Mrs.Williams, Dr.Lewis will see you in just a few moments.” She said and I nodded to her then made my way to the waiting room. And when she said a few moments she meant it as the doctor came out calling my name, I was shocked usually your waiting for like an hour.

“Brittany Williams?” she said. I rose out of my seat and walked to her shaking her hand.

“Hi I’m Dr.Lewis.” she said and then we walked into the back into the room. Once we ran through the usual questions that you usually get asked before hand she had me change into a gown and told me to lay down with legs bent up on the bench.
