Chapter Fourteen. // Trust Issues.

"I really am sorry." I frown, looking at Amanda. "I am. I know Noah is a sensitive subject and I took it too far."

I roll my eyes, shaking my head. "It's fine, Mandy. It's over." I pick up my coffee, taking a sip of it before I sigh. "I'm glad that's over." I mumble, slouching.

"So, I have something to tell you."

"That's why you suddenly called me up to apologize!" I yell, slapping the table. Amanda closes her eyes, ready to take my scolding. "You just had something you wanted to tell me, you bitch!" I give her a disapproving look before rolling my eyes. "Whatever, just tell me what happened."

Amanda sits up in her seat, excited. "So, I slept with Ryan."

I roll my eyes again, "what's new? You guys have fucked a thousand times."

Amanda shakes her head, "no, we slept, as in didn't have sex but slept."

I blink at her for a second, "wait." I frown, holding up my hand. With my eyebrows furrowed, I ask, "so, no penetration?"

"I didn't even see his dick."

"Did he at least eat you out?"

"Nope. We both remained fully clothed the entire time. No groping, James, we didn't even kiss."

My eyes widen slightly, "what the actual fuck?"

Amanda nods slowly, crossing her arms. "Yup, I invited him over to my place after studying one night and we stayed up and talked. We had cookies and milk."

"And no sex?"

"None at all."

"Oh. Nice."

"It was nice, yes."

I grin at her, "and?"

"And what?"

"Do you like him?"

Amanda stops lifting her coffee and looks at me for a second. Swallowing, she sets her coffee back down on the table. Amanda let's out a long breath before biting her bottom lip. "I don't even know, James." And with that, her head falls on the table with a thump and she grunts.

I smirk, taking the last bite of my croissant. "Alright, bitch. We've got class." I say as I slide out of my seat with my trash and half full cup of coffee.

Mandy groans, following my lead and grabs all her trash. After leaving the cafe, we start to walk to the university.

"So," Mandy starts off, "sore topic but anything new with Noah?"

I shake my head, "nope, not really. I mean, I'm not throwing rocks at him when he tries to come near me so I'd say we're on good terms." I say, throwing my bag over my shoulder.

Mandy stays quiet for a minuet or so while we walk, "so, how are you feeling? Him being back and all, I mean. Like-"

"Yeah, I get you." I mumble, running my fingers through my hair. "I don't know, to be honest."
