{Hello everyone, this is a story I've been trying to write for awhile now. I'm editing everything that I have so far and that may take some time. I really hope that when I get through with this story and publish the whole thing, that you guys read it and like it. Your honest opinions will be taken into consideration!

Cashmere POV

Friday night and I strolled down third street looking for a way to get my next high. I had been hard on cocaine for about five months and could use a little right now.

The twenty dollars I just scraped up from someone passing through on these mean streets was burning a hole in my hand, literally. It was the middle  of November and cold as hell.I looked like a damn bum according to the woman that gave me the money. I wore a long sleeved hoodie with baggie jeans and rundown Reebok tennis shoes. My hair was a mess because I haven't combed it in a few weeks.

I hadn't changed my clothes in about a week. The stench coming from my body was so strong that I can't believe no one else smelled me. Or either they did and just ain't say nothing. I went to a nearby gas station and cleaned myself up a bit. Thirty minutes later, I wasn't completely clean but I smelt better. Thank goodness for the hand dryers in the bathroom or I would have been in there much longer.

Leaving out of the gas station, I walked and I noticed Deuce, the biggest dealer in the streets of Washington D.C. He was a hardcore fella that didn't take no shorts. He was across the street making a sale.

The person he was selling to was looking for Heroin, a drug I was scared to get addicted to. Not that I thought Cocaine was any better. A lot of druggies went to Deuce for all types of different drugs , even me, and more than likely, he had it. If not we went to the second best which was Will.

Other vendors had bad drugs. Not as potent as the drugs Deuce and Will sold. Eager to get what I wanted, I waited until Deuce was through, then raced across the street to get what I so desperately needed.

Before I was one of the hottest chicks around. Stayed in new clothes, had a man, and drove a Porsche.
Even had my own spot, that I didn't have long because I couldn't pay my rent on time each month.

But since the one man I knew loved me passed away three years back Lamar Williams, my dad, and I was introduced to Cocaine, by my girl Ashley, I allowed myself to diminish.

I skipped all the weaklings and went straight to one of the hardest drugs around, Cocaine. I began selling things out of my house just so I would have money to buy more cocaine when I needed it. It had gotten so bad that some nights I didn't go home at all.

My man left me because I started coming home high every night, barely able to stand or speak.

On a daily basis, Devante, Cashmere's ex boyfriend would run her bath water just before he thought she would be coming, so she'd be comfortable and unwind a little. Have dinner simmering down low on the stove.

Even had a bottle of her favorite wine chilling in the fridge for when she became thirsty.

Cashmere messed things up for herself by choosing the drugs over Devante.  Devante was a good man and he cherished the ground Cashmere walked on. He tried to give her everything he could but became fed up with the things Cashmere was into and left. Deuce always liked Cashmere. She was his eye-candy.

He didn't like the fact that she snorted coke, and every time she got a little bit of money in her hand, that's what she spent it on.

He tried his hand every chance he got to get her out of this wicked community. But Cashmere turned him down each and every time.
